Here are some pics of my new(to me) 19-4 nickel that I got at the Dallas Market Hall guns show. Seems like several of us were blessed lately with M19 finds. The grips were nicked up a bit, but pretty nice overall. It is P and R also.

Beautiful model 19's fellas. i cut my teeth shooting a 19 nickel 6". Pissed it away on a trade long ago and regret it. It's also why i'm deaf to this day. Back when i was a teenager,"many moons ago", i never
wore hearing protection. Hear the crickets chirping whenever its quiet now. Of course all i ever shot was full charge .357's also. Enjoy those Mdl.19's

Thanks for the welcome guys. There were several good buys there yesterday. This one was $450 and I saw several nice
M10s in the $300 to $400 range. There was a 4in 686 with Goodyears that the guy was wanting $485 for. I just thought the nickel 19 was too nice to pass on. He had just taken it in on trade the week before so it must be fate that we finally met! The Ser. # is 42K80XX which puts it in the 78-79 range in the Big Book.This is my first nickel S&W revolver. I have been looking at the pics on here for some time and its all your fault for getting me on the slippery slope. Hope to get it to the range this week and see how it shoots.
