I made it back home, I drove my mother to her sister house in Stamford CT Sunday morning and I got back to LI from CT about 6 PM Sunday, the car was 90% packed Saturday night so it didn't take long to finish packing the car. I went to sleep at 7 PM Sunday night, woke up at 12:30 AM Monday and was in my car on the way home at 1 AM. I drove pretty much straight through except for dog poo breaks and made it to Anderson SC at 3 PM.

This trip was one disaster after another and the payoff was I wound up getting sick and feel like I am starting to come down with a sore throat almost cold. I have spent the day in bed resting up in the hope that I can beat it before the sore throat turns into a cold.

I haven't had a cold in over 2 years, maybe 3 years, but my aunt has complained of having a cold the entire winter and I think I caught hers.

I think the reason she she is sick all winter is she keeps her house like an ice box

I was going to catch up on my email and regular mail but this dam sore throat has had me in bed since Monday night.

It isn't a full cold but I just feel real weak and tired plus a little warm from a fever. I can't spend another day resting so tomorrow I force myself to get my lazy butt up and moving. The car isn't even fully unpacked yet so I am going to have motivate myself get to it did. I always need a day or two to rest up from the drive but getting this thing that is an almost cold has me feeling real weak. No matter how bad I feel it still feels great to feel like poop in your own home.

SilverCorvette - For your health, please park it for a day or so. If it doesn't go away, get to your friendly local doc... many have learned their "cold" was pneumonia. The car can wait, but your health won't. Learned that the hard way.

Welcome back, Larry. Try Intensive Bourbon Therapy.

I called up my mother Monday to let her know I got home, but had to leave a message. I didn't feel like talking to anyone till today so I called her again this morning to see how she was doing and it turned out my mother also wound up catching a cold from her sister (my aunt).

I haven't checked my PO box yet, it is almost 8 weeks since I sent in my forms to the ATF, maybe my stamps will be waiting for me.

I have heard it takes about 8 weeks to get the class 3 tax stamps but things have slowed down and it could be 12 or even 16 weeks
