Shortly after I brought Lisa's ashes home our cat, Sarah, vanished.
I searched everywhere in the house but I couldn't find her. I have no idea where she went.
Shortly after that I had a Lisa dream, she was holding Sarah and told me that she's okay.
Anyway, Lisa has a dresser in our back bedroom and today, I was boxing up stuff to donate.
While I was taking the box out to our enclosed back porch, so I can take it to Goodwill tomorrow, I saw a cat sneak out.
I thought it was Nat, that's the kinda thing he'd do.
I called him a coupla times because it's cold out and I didn't want him to become a catsicle. The enclosed back porch isn't insulated or heated.
He didn't come and when I turned around, Sandy was at the food dish and Nat was looking at me from the hall.
Could I have just seen the spirit of Sarah going out to the back porch to be with Lisa's stuff?

This is Lisa with Sarah. Sarah's helping her with one of her Birthday puzzles.

After our cat disappeared, odd things showed up at night on our security camera three nights in a row. A rabbit on the first night, a wounded raccoon and the on the 3rd night, what I swear looked like our missing cat. That was last November. Nothing has shown up since.

You may have seen just that Snubbs. My Matilda(looks much like Sarah) has been looking at stuff I can't see all day. I have also seen motion out of the corner of my eye, but nothing is there. I have lived here 35 years, and had many cats in that time. Many are buried in the back yard. So many mysteries.

"Pet Sematary?"

For her 1st 3-4 years here, our Daisy Dog would get up on one side of the couch and bark at the ceiling. Our bed room is up there, and I'm pretty sure that's where Mr. S., the previous/original owner died. I said something about a GHOST to Daisy, and she put that word together with what she was doing. Anytime we'd ask her about the ghost, she'd go up on the end of the couch and look at the ceiling, barking sometimes. Ralph finally left the house...probably after I took the Mezuzah off the front doorway.

I thought this was going to be a cougar thread (another name for them is "ghost cat"), but clicked on it just in case it wasn't.

I'm not a believer in ghosty things, but I've had three seeing-things-that-couldn't-have-been-there experiences at a law office where I used to work (converted from an old house) - and one was a cat.

I generally don't believe in ghosts.

That Said

When I was in first grade (1971) my father brought a dog home for me from the NHS. The dog died in 1991 while I was stationed at Ft. Lewis.

My mother's home had floor to ceiling windows in the LR. Everytime I came home I saw my dog sitting in the window looking at me. I would get out of the car and as I was walking to the house he would vanish

ETA it occurred to me after I wrote this that my mother died in 1999. Nobody from my family lives in that house anymore we haven't for 26 years. So I wonder if my dog is still wandering around that house or did he leave when all of us did?

When our last dog died, separately and without mentioning it to each other, my wife and I kept seeing Daisy slinking through the house. My wife finally said something about seeing the dog, and I about fell over! That lasted for close to a year before we no longer saw Daisy.
