I'm a huge fan of both my Md 49 and my 649-3. And I love the way they look too! The 49 works best for me with the OEM J frame stocks with a black Tyler T adapter. The Md 649-3 is perfect with the Uncle Mike's rubber grips that came with it.

I must honestly say that every time I see one I think of Quasimodo , in The Hunchback of Notre-Dame . Charles Laughton's 1939 portrayal was especially disfigured and pathetic....
I can't help it ...the Humpbacks just don't look right ...got that Quasimodo look to them .

I like the ugly look so much I created my own. I've said it before and I'll say it again, somebody should currently be making these grips. I think there is still a market for them. And, I can go back and forth between grip styles with same gun. I personally like the look of the 60 with the Bianchi Lightnings better than the look of the 649, but to each his own. Don't get me wrong if a 49 or 649 comes along I will not hesitate to pick one or both up.

Bianchi lightning grips are for people that want rust on their frames.

If you ever feel the need to draw it out if a pocket or put your hand on it preparing to draw it out of a pocket it will then become a thing of pure beauty to you.also it is the only firearm if my memory serves me that when tested was able to fire its complete payload while still in a jacket pocket .
