Guns or no guns. I am not going to associate with people that are dressed like that in public. Larry
Yeah I noticed them clothes, they look like something a new Yorker might wear, certainly not like average Texans.
In checking on this incident at Chipotles one site mentioned
that a concealed carry permit holder had a negligent discharge
at one of these restaurants. It occurs to me, that more of those
happen with semi automatics than with revolvers. If they want
to be real safe, could they require police officers armed with semi
automatics, to only carry revolvers? I have never seen
a negligent discharge with a revolver myself although I have
experienced a revolver that malfunctioned once, and I suppose some
of the old model revolvers don't have the mechanism to keep them from firing
when dropped.
That one guy in the picture looks like he has his finger inside the trigger guard of the rifle. They teach never putting your
finger inside the trigger guard in CHL classes unless you are
prepared to destroy a target down range. So it looks like to
me this restaurant chain had two experiences at least with
someone from the gun community. AS for allowing police to
carry guns (including semi automatics) but not anyone else.
many CHL holders as well as former Marines and other Military
folks have done far more shooting including at live targets than police officers. Some officers shoot less than 100 rounds in a
year, while some CHL holders shoot many more than that.
I still would not volunteer to park on their property, leave my
gun in my vehicle at the risk of someone stealing it, just to
patronize the restaurant no matter how much I might like the
food there. Its not like they have a patent on the food.
