If you could only have one!

One more vote for the 27-2, 3 1/2". Just about does it all with .38/.357 and my Dillon. Hope it doesn't come down to a one to a customer deal though.

Regards and Merry Christmas

Bill

A 4" 66 would be my pick. It's small enough to carry, powerful enough to hunt with, and accurate enough to shoot bullseye. With a good SWC mold and a lead pot, I can make ammo from mild to wild, and probably cheaper than 22 LR.

I have both a 3" and 4" 65-3, a 2 1/2 66-7 (with 2-piece barrel), a 60-14, a 640-3, a 4" Ruger Speed Six and a 3" GP100. All are good guns, but the 2 1/2" 66-7 with the 2-piece barrel is the most accurate and is most concealable. It was an Aussie cop trade-in and looks just beautiful (the lock was deactivated).

2.5" or 3" K-Frame....perhaps a .357 Blackhawk

My 625 Mountain Gun... it is powerful enough for the field, but with a little care it can also be carried concealed. I like guns that can throw around a big, ole' piece of lead!

Just about anything will do. Because of my body shape (pot belly and little butt) and wardrobe (T-shirts and shorts in the summer, jeans and sweatshirts in the winter) concealed carry is just too uncomfortable and troublesome than I'm willing to deal with.

Gimme something for the nightstand with some stopping power in case the boogie man shows up... an alley sweeper would do.

There is however something that warms my heart when looking at well made classic handguns.

Only One

My 3" 686, its a target shooter, woods guns, and home defense and concealed carry if i dress around it.

That's easy. A K-38/Model 14:

I hate this type of thread. Comes in every so often. H@77 I couldn't get by with less than a dozen or so and don't plan to.

Had the same thought but posted anyway. Roughly 45-50 firearms including over a half dozen for daily carry use.

As much as I like my .357's, I have a #10-8 HB 4" that is like new & will shoot a 25yd. group that you can cover with a quarter. It will outshoot my other gun's so I choose accuracy over power. My #10-8 would be my only revolver if it came to it.
