Ignoring The 4 Rules--And Consequences!

Dave is being sarcastic, folks.

Hey Arlo,
How ya doin'? I've saw things happen in the past, that I would never believe could happen.

I'm hoping so.

It truly saddens me that this young man would put his live in jeopardy...I pray that it might be God's will for his speedy recovery.

With that being said, one of my former team mates from the warrant squad, accidentally shot himself under similar circumstances.

This guy was the last person I would think something like this would happen too.
He was a decorated SF operator before becoming a dope detective and high risk warrant team member.

I hate hearing about young men being injured or killed.

With the handling of arms, one should never let familiarity breed contempt.

Just one momentary lapse can cost a life...I'm not casting the first stone on this one.

Su Amigo,
Dave

And to people you would never believe it could happen to - right? It's best not to get too arrogant about this. It's a tragedy. Self-generated one, for sure, but still a tragedy. If you have booze and guns together in any one place, bad things can and do happen. Most of us get through our lives without a similar tragedy - thank God. :o

Our skeet club allows booze on the premises. I have always been against it. Sure, the guys are finished shooting before they break out the beers. Fine. But why not just go elsewhere and have a drink? If the guns and the booze aren't on club property at the same time, you know an alcohol-related accident is not going to happen. I am in the minority on this, and the tailgate drinkers view me accordingly. I don't really much care.
