I'll Call The Cops!!!

I used to work rotating shifts. Came home about midnight and was about to go to bed. Someone starts banging on the front door. I get up and my mother had already open the front door. The guy was clearly wasted and must have gotten off at the wrong subway stop. He tries to push my mom out of the way and get into the house. I grab him and litterally drag him out the door and down the steps. He's telling me that is his house. I'm telling him no it's not. This goes on for about 15 minutes sorta like an abbot and costello movie. Finally getting tired of this I go back inside and call the police. They show up and now he's still banging on the door. I go out the back door and introduce myself to the two officers. They ask if I know this guy.
Nope, never seen him before. They question him and one police officer asks what do you want us to do. My reply was just to get him somewhere other than here, as I have to get up at 5am and go to work. They checked his wallet and his address is kinda ritzy area. They put the drunk in the car, before they leave I ask were are you taking him. One officer says we'll take him home. You had to be there to see the drunk as soaking wet he'd not weigh 100lbs. Kinda funny and sad at the same time.Frank

in my late teens and 20s i worked at a quickie mart and the owner was the mayor and always on the city council. he new all the cops and they also stopped by and used the toilet and got coffee. i liked having them come by frequently during the swing and grave shifts. plus if anything did happen i could call 911 and say this is "joe the mayors" quickie mart and theres a bum outside panhandling or kids shoplifting or whatever. they would be there lickety split. most dopes trying to pull something had no idea we had this hotline to the cops.

the best would be when an underage kid would try to buy booze. id say lemme see your id. can you take it out so i can see it ? half these idiots would actually pull out their real id and they were underage. i would confiscate it and send them on their way. i would actually have parents come in and demand their kids ID back or theyd call the cops on me. id say fine and hand them the phone. attempting to buy booze underage is a crime in my state and its clearly labeled on every booze cooler door that its a crime to attempt to buy underage. none ever took me up on the hnace to call the cops on me. i spose they had a talk with junior or junior decided he lost his id and went to the dmv for a new one.
