I'm changing peanut butter

We make our own. It's pretty difficult. Go to the bulk food store, buy dry roasted peanuts. Get a small bottle of peanut oil.

Whiz it up in a food processor. If to dry, add a few drops of oil.

Add some salt if you want higher blood pressure.;)

That about does it! I worry about global warming, the energy crisis, the immigration problem, PTSD, vaccines causing illness, the deficit, a Congress w/ a 12% approval rating, racial injustice, no keeping score at little league games, no valedictorians at some school districts, artificial sweeteners, voting disparities, racial disparities, Agent Orange, white power, social security going away, black power, shedding Golden Retrievers, OOBs, bad tequila, no tequila, $3 gasoline, 16 mpg for my old truck, catalytic converters coming for string trimmers, oil spills, and, last but not least, that all people are going to die without gov't. health care and now you're telling me that I'm using the bottom peanut butter on the peanut butter list. Where does it end? Oh, the humanity!

Have you heard about the honeybee disease killing off whole colony's? And what about all the massive amounts of birds and fish dying all over the world.

You're not done yet my man. Just beginning. Get out your tin foil hat and hang on. It's going to be a doozy.

I eat whatever's in the cabinet, which is what the ole lady bought at the grocery, which is whatever was on sale or she had a coupon for. I have no idea what brand it is.

I just finished off a jar of Skippy Natural Super Chunk. I eat it on 100% wheat bread. Sounds pretty healthy. Gave a tiny bit to both my little dogs. Both puked it up. I think the dogs are more natural.

WHAT? How can an impact on the environment affect how your peanut butter tastes or whether you like it or not? With these dumb parameters I see the PC people written all over it.:(
GO JIF!:D Hate the taste of Skippy. yuck!

I eat the Great Value smooth (Wal-Mart store brand). It's cheap, it tastes good, I can get it in all 48 states, and I don't eat a whole jar every day, so who cares if it's got a little trans-fat in it? Don't these people have anything better to worry about? :D

I've been making my own for a while now. Store bought tastes too fake now.

Almond butter is usually how I roll these days. Tastes better and is better for you. In fact, I just made a fresh jar of almond butter this morning. :)

Does anybody know if the FDA re-checked the facilities for roach and rodent infestations lately?

Thats cause dolphins are tasty:D

They say tuna is becoming unsafe because of the high mercury levels in them. Eventually they many need to add dolphin to the tuna again. As long as it's not kept in those (other country) sewage ponds, and hold the BP spice.

You know, now that I think about it. I can't imagine a real Cajun, who eats real Cajun food, really cares what's in his peanut butter, as long as it tastes good.(there wasn't really possum in that gumbo?)I've never been called a choosey mother either, but I have been called a picky sum-----, well, you know. I'm glad to finally see a thread about a serious subject, for a change.

So how's that go on Granola and Raw Yogurt?

I like Natures Place All Natural (Crunchy). Ingredients: Peanuts and salt with 1 G of sugar - you need to stir it frequently as the (natural) oils separate - I don't like peanut butter that's made with artificial ingredients - peanuts and a pinch of salt is all you need - watch the label - if you see corn syrup solids, hydrogenated vegetable oils, etc, etc, put it back on the shelf.

I only buy peanut butter made from free range peanuts cultivated and harvested and distributed in a socially conscience Free Trade environment and picked by third generation native peoples while humming "kumbayah"...

As long as it's "local", and hasn't been on a ship, a train, and two trucks to get there. Can't have all that carbon being emitted just for a PB&J.

Wait a minute! I think I just talked myself out of a job! :D
