I saw on the news that we are about to get a third stimulus check.

That's news to me.
I asked the wife if she had received her checks yet?

Why, yes I have, dear. I have receive two of them.

Funny I replied, I never saw a check for me.

Yes dear, all four were put into my (our) checking account where it will be put to good use. You don't need it, you have lots of money.

The first one disappeared to my tax lady...

I was curious why I would be receiving my $$$ in the mail. Then it occurred to me that the IRS never sends me anything electronically. I always mail them a check.

Never thought I would see people making $150,000 per year and qualify for gubmint gimme checks.

Never thought I'd be able to carry $50 worth of groceries, but these days I can do it with only one hand.

Still adjusting to reality, I guess. I just wish it would hold still long enough that I could focus my eyes on it for a while.

Some philosopher type is supposed to have said, "May you live in interesting times." Right now is interesting enough. In fact, it's just plain strange. I've gotten positively inspired by the strangeness. When the money arrives, it will be summarily given to my wife. She knows how to handle money. That is the reason why we have been able to do decently well on a pastors salary. You see, she knows how to handle money, and she knows how to make money ... as a nurse. Me ... I know how to "invest" money. Over the last 40 years I have put a little bit in various rifles and pistols. Mostly did make money. During those same 40 years, put a little along in the DOW. It has done much much more better by far than my other investment fund. Sincerely. bruce.

I have heard it said that behind every successful farmer or rancher is a wife with a job in town. Maybe pastors, too?

They keep sending "stimulus checks" out but has anyone looked at the national Debt lately? Many who receive them don't need it as much as others who have truly lost jobs, businesses, and are in arrears with their financial obligations. Good thing we can't discuss politics and get into details about these checks here, or I'd be at my keyboard for hours! Let's just leave it at ..... nothing is for nothing so enjoy them while you are getting them.

I just feel like with all this free money being handed out like candy that someday we're going to pay a big price for it. The folks that run the country are professional debaters and not finance or math guys.

I feel ya on all points, but I much rather see US citizens making $150000, who contributed to the system getting it, than all those who are here in violation of the law.

You nailed it! None of them have a problem with spending money that's not theirs. Look at all of our money that they sent to other countries. I guess they thought these other countries needed it so much more than us in these troubled times. (Sarcasm)
