Impulse Buy, M&P 9, Bad Decision?

In the 40s,50s,qnd 60s Smith & Wesson revolvers owned the law enforcement market. In the 70s law enforcement agencies started transitioning to semi autos and by the late 80s early 90s Glock had most of that market sewn up. The M&P is S&Ws comeback pistol and they have been making steady inroads with large departments such as Chicago approving their use. I have 4 M&Ps and not only are they really good pistols they have forced Glock to come up with their Gen 4 pistols to compete. I think you'll be quite happy with your M&P, it was a good choice.

......a note on the tool and the sear deactivation pin: I find the tool difficult enough to extract out of the handle. I make doubly sure I'm unloaded and as you're sliding the rail forward and it comes to a stop, just squeeze the trigger and complete the removal.....

I use this method as well... I was actually about to ask whether it was an acceptable breakdown method because I don't have my manual to check... pressing down the sear blocking pin thingamajig wastes valuable time.
