Hello Forum;
The indoor range I belong to is real nice for "senior citizens" (read old...slow...wheel gun guys like me). Annual membership buys me unlimited range time (open to close), reservation of lane choice (Monday - Fri) and some other perks.
When I just want to have simple, plain fun shooting, not for accuracy, not for speed, not mag dump, not wanting "wrist twist" (leave the Model 19 and 28 at home), but wanting a little more bang..........I bring the 38 wheel guns, but only the 4 inchers and the long Tom.
So......Model 10-5 4 inch, Model 15-3 also 4 inch, Model 14-3, 8-3/8", 5 or 6 boxes of PMC Bronze 132 grain FMJ's and just take my time, usually FBI silhouette's, maybe a group to center mass, another to shoulder or elsewhere in torso. I get a lot of fun for my time. Usually no "plastic blasters" anywhere around doing mag dumps and that sort of stuff...so like I said, plain, simple FUN.
Ever notice how a Model 10 with pencil barrel feels sweet yet different after a couple cylinders in the 15 Combat Masterpiece? Ever feel the increase in time on target and better grouping with the bucoo longer tube?
What guns and ammo do you take for plain fun with no pressure at your range? Pictures are mandatory for replies!!!
