Is anyone else tired of......on this forum?

-A poster with almost no posts, states " Nice gun, if you want to sell it, put ME on the top of the list" ?

Yes, I did see the administrator's requirement that you need 100,000 posts before you can buy a firearm from someone on this site.

Seriously, so what if somebody new wants to buy from you? Maybe they came to this site just so they can see what is for sale.

This is exactly why there was another thread asking why people try to drive up their post counts. Just because someone has 5,000 posts doesn't give them any more merit than someone with 100 posts.

Is anyone else tired of?;

-Some of the STUPID questions asked on the forum?
(and yes there are stupid questions, I 've asked a few in my day)

Most of my posts have been questions since a good number of people on this site know a lot about firearms, some with expert knowledge.

I'm sure I have asked something that has been asked a dozen times, but hey, you can always ignore it.

Not everyone has read all the threads to know what has been asked already.

Do I have enough posts to "post" anything here. If so, I need a sheriff to swear me in as a senior member. Thanks, I apologize, and God Bless.................

Oh, I know-I know...., quit "clowning" around on the forum!!!!! hahahaah

Well, everybody knows the second amendment is really about the right to keep armed bears right?

Folterung,
I wasn't referring to classified posts where items are listed for sale. I would encourage anybody looking to buy to go there and look over the listings.

That's what the classifieds are for.

Regardless of post count.

I was referring to the member that posts a pic or info about a gun they have or just bought and sure enough someone jumps in and says;

"If you ever want to sell it......"

To bmhiii,
Wow, I guess I struck a cord. I guess I'll have to adjust my meds.

I haven't read each and every post, so it may have been covered, and it might not be germane to the discussion, but curiosity compels me to ask, is that spoon a no-dash or a dash-1?

I've been TOLD that it's all about age and that youger people see the Net as the place for the answer for ALL questions.They don't buy books or reference materials apparently.

I guess I'm old but I'd much rather have a bunch of reference material and books on hand that I can read and re-read and then keep just in case I have a question. "I" just can't imagine heading out to a gun show not KNIWING in advance and if I find something I might want/need I check my reference material.

If it's something that isn't answered THEN it's time to ask.

Did I get a good deal??? Geez either you know and just are reluctant to say "Hey, I bought a........" or you are spending money without knowing true value, which I'm way to Scotch to do.
This to is actually the single most anniying question.

I personally find it annoying but I'm an old grump, so it is to be expected.

to wickahoney,
I guess I'll have to add to what I'm tired of on this forum is;

"Hey, I just spent $??? on this S&W. Can anybody tell me what I just bought?" (this was an actual post a while back)

Huh? If you have plenty of $ to throw around on things you know nothing about,,,,,well spread it around to some other members.

Having reference materials at hand is a good way to start a hobby. The web certainly has changed that. If you can't Google something it must not exist?

-A lot of posters ooohh and ahhh over a very nice, but very common gun?

-A poster with almost no posts, states " Nice gun, if you want to sell it, put ME on the top of the list" ?

I'm sure there are other things to add to the above, so please feel free.

This should be fun (well sort of)

Dave

The only stupid question is the one you don't ask. If you are new to whatever you need to ask questions. Obviously you don't have children because if you did you'd know they corner the market on what you call "stupid questions".

A lot of posters oooh and aahh over a common gun well maybe some of us can only afford beaters due to job and family issues and think these guns are great.

As for the posters with no posts making that comment I think we should track them down through thier I.P address and beat the living hell out of them!
Just kidding! I think they are kidding too when they post that.
Try some De-Caf and lighten up dude.

in lieu of this thread making absolutely n0 sense...i am honoring it with a picture of a rabbit with some toilet paper on it's head.

That is a beautiful Rabbit.If you ever want to sell it put ME first on the list.Does that rabbit come with the TP or is that special order?

44 special Dave:

What I'm tired of is people posting on a thread without have read through the entire thread first. Not knowing what has already been said in the thread, they ask questions that were already answered or give information that was already given or not requested.

BTW, does that spoon qualify as an AOW?

OK, enough of this idle chit chat. Let's get down to some serious business!

I NEED to know:

1) My wife hates guns! What kind of gun should I get her?

And sort of along those same lines:
2) Why can't a .22 be used for HD/SD?

3) What is the difference between a .22 and a .357 Magnum?

4) What is better - fast & light OR slow & heavy

5) I am looking for a gun. What kind should I buy? (Note: I will not help you by telling you how much money I want to spend or what I want to use it for. You will just have to guess!)

6) There is a sign on the door of the Post Office that says No Concealed Weapons Allowed. Should I leave my gun in the car or just go in and hope no one notices?
