Think about something you've done, that you felt you had to. You only know so much about it, just enough to use it but not enough to truly master it. (cell phones come to mind). We have many people that have come to firearms because they felt they had to, either for personal protection or a fear they may never get the chance to own them. Their level of commitment is low, after all, they drive big cars really fast and make million dollar decisions all day. Occasionally, the come on a forum like ours and ask a question. How their received determines their continued level of interest.
Once in a while, someone comes here to agitate or troll. They usually don't last long, but their fun for a bit.
The ones that really get me are the folks that put out stupid and dangerous information as if it were gospel. They express opinions about things that theyve never experienced, just because they read someone else's opinion or saw their video on YouTube. All in an effort to sound knowledgeable or superior.
Fortunately on this forum, they usually get corrected. We have a vast pool of knowledge here that will advise someone who is errant, and jump on those that are dangerous. Information is valuable, correct information is priceless.
