Israel attacking Iran

The Iranian government declared the other night that their missile attack against Israel would be their only response…unless the Israelis retaliated, which is exactly what they did tonight. Now what?

I don't feel good about this situation at all… :(

So the drama saga of ME issues continues on.

The reality is, no one over there seems to be changing and won't be happy until the other is dead.

At the end of the day, we best stay out of it... another endless 20 year war we don't need.

Secondly, we got our own problems here. I was reading news reports yesterday that the FBI is warning of potential coming cyber attacks against our infrastructure by the Chi-Coms, and supposedly they've already penetrated some big company systems... I'm more concerned with that right about now, if true...

So far this has all been telegraphed softballs and sabre rattling. At some point Iran is going to cross the line and all hell is going to break out. Israel doesn't play when it comes to their survival and sovereignty. And of course the media and anti-semites will say "it's all Israel's fault" and call them "the aggressors".

This is like watching a chess game. A player makes a move hits the clock. His opponent makes a move and hits the clock.Etc. Etc. Things do not get interesting till a bit later in the game.

I'm sure there's a lot going on covertly...some we'll never hear about and some will make news such as when Iran's nuclear sites and program possibly blows up or otherwise sabotaged.

Here's an update, including how the Israeli counterstrike was carried out:

...a small number of Israeli aircraft flew from Israel over Syria — striking at least two southern Syria military bases that have air defense systems along the way, he said.

They then entered Iraqi airspace, from where they fired a small number of Blue Sparrow air-to-surface ballistic missiles, likely without ever entering Iranian airspace, Lister said.

Accounts of explosions over Iraq support that scenario, and so does debris from what appears to be the booster of an Israeli-made Blue Sparrow missile that Iraqi security found in a field outside Baghdad, Lister said.

"In other words, the Israelis would never have needed to enter Iranian airspace to conduct this attack," Lister said. "I think this was Israel's way of just sending a message that we can reach you anywhere we want."..

"They should have hit the nuclear enrichment facility but that is a very hardened target"

What the Israelis have done is "Thread the eye of the needle." By attacking a military base close to Iran's nuclear facility with it's maximum air-defense systems in place, they have demonstrated the capacity to hit them at will, without raising the overall tensions. I think that was smart thinking...

You will know when Iran is getting close to having nukes....Israel will obliterate Iran's capability and probably the whole country. Israel is not ever going to let Iran get nukes.
