So I installed the JP trigger springs on my 15-22 and yay, feels great. But when I get through about 2 mags I start getting failures. Trigger clicks but nothing fires. I then need to re-charge the bolt.

I noticed that the hammer pin is pushing itself out (mag release button side). When I re-seat this pin, everything works great again until it starts inching itself out ... again. Has anyone else had this problem? Do I need some kind of special pin with a cotter or something? Thanks!

Your hammer should have a small detent in it's pin hole that catches a groove in the middle of the pin. I would make sure that your hammer pin is pushed far enough in so that the detent is catching the groove. The pin really shouldn't move if that is properly aligned.

If you are sure that the pin is deep enough to align the groove with the detent, then maybe some anti-walk pins would help you out.

I am not sure if the ones in the link will work due to the extra receiver width of the 15-22, but I imagine they would be OK since they screw together (they just wont be completely screwed down, but some locktite would keep them from backing out I would think.)

ragingyeti,
Yea, I tried pushing it in too far, tried popping it out and flipping it around. Maybe the receiver holes are just worn.

Thanks for the link! I am purchasing these now. I like the idea of the anti-walk, hex head. Sold. Much appreciated!
