This is a pic of it with my CS9. Had a price tag $469. I got it for $450 OTD. Came with two grips, Hogue and original factory grip, leather holster, and one 8 round magazine. I think the only things I will do to it, is new recoil spring and magazine spring, buy another magazine, and repaint the sights.

I like the 3913 but my CS9 is still my preferred EDC, and at work I usually carry a Taurus GX4. I work at night alone so I carry at work but what I carry is likely to get scratched up so I use the Taurus. When I'm off work, I carry the CS9. I like small guns. I live in Texas and wear t-shirts and cargo shorts or jeans most of the time.

I use to think people that said the 3913 was the best EDC, were people that don't have a CS9. I don't think that anymore. I see the appeal of the 3913. It's a great gun. I would like to hear other's opinions on 3rd generation EDC.

Congrats..... and a good price.

Been a fan of the 39xxs since 1989 with a Sparks Summer Special or Executive Companion for the NL

I've carry mine with a 7rd flush fit mag as primary with my 3913NL so it's not any taller than a CS9. Spare(s) is one or two 8rd w/o the pinky rest!

If you like the Hogue.... they still offer wood grips smooth or checkered for the 3913..... my preference!

Yowza. Excellent price for an excellent pistol. In mho, the 3rd Gen autos were the high point of S&W pistol production except for the 52 and 41 models. I carried, maintained, and repaired 2nd and 3rd generation for our agency, they were the best.

I have owned 7 pistols since the 3rd gens, they just aren't up to the quality of the 2's and 3's! M&P's, Shields, CS in 9 and 45. The CS models were the best, along with the PC models. An early SD 9, the frame rails on the slide broke off-literally. Smith didn't do a thing about it, said sorry you abused it.

They shoulda stuck with what they knew best, not try and copy GLOCKS success!

Enjoy that new 3913. Heck of a pistol, heck of a price.

Regards, Rick Gibbs

I think highly of the 3rd. Gen guns. When I carry a semi-auto, more often then not it will be a 3913 or CQB .45. I've had both of these for years. Both trouble free, reliable and robust pistols. Enjoy yours.
