Latest Serial numbers on 15-22

Just purchased my 15-22 a few days before xmas. It is a new rifle, but the serial number is a DTH model. After reading this thread, this rifle must have been sitting on the track for quite a while! Was given lots of extras, too. Extra mag, 500 rounds of ammo, fore grip, and hand guards for the picatinny rails. All of this for under $400!

I haven't shot it yet, so I don't know if I have a good one our one that needs fixes from smith & wesson. What are all the things I need to look for?

Shoot it!!! We purchased a DTX79xx in the summer, it's been great, thousands of rounds through it... we use CCCI 22lr, loves it.

Took my dthxxxx to the range and ran 200 rounds through it.since this rifle was produced, the manual doesn't list any "not recommended" ammo. Of course, the ammo that the shop thw in with the gun was 500 rounds of remington golden bullet. I now have found out that s&w does not recommend that ammo any more.
All that considered, I had 1 stove pipe ejection and 2 failure to fire rounds. Not bad considering that this gun had all original parts (no s&w updates) and using poor ammo.

i also received a DTX2XXX this summer. it CAME with blue springs and a smooth light trigger pull. upon opening the rifle to give it the initial cleaning to rid it of it's protective heavy lube, i found that it seemed that it was already cleaned rather well. the cleaning i did was more of a cleansing wipe. the patches were clean and the whole process was easy. so, i did 2 more times for fun. then 'dry wiped' the individual parts while humming a mantra. and, no red or blue stars and came with a S&W logo on the stock.
how did this gun come to be in this condition? was it randomly pulled and factory tested? an exhibit special? i dunno.

but, so far, it shoots great with several types of ammo, even some 'goldies' i had laying around. i'm a very very happy man...:D

I picked mine up today and love it. Its a DUU7XXX with the blue springs and second generation mags. Just needed a quick wipe down before shooting. It also has the flash hider.

First post here, been lurking for several weeks now.

Picked up my 15-22 MOE today, DVE6***.

Will try and get some pics in the picture thread later.

Bought mine yesterday in Jackon MS. DVA9 at local gun show. My first post by the way and will begin asking many questions.

Numbers

I bought mine two weeks ago DVA9000

Two hundred fifty round thu it, had a few miss fires but the more I fired it the better it got. Plus I cleaned the heck out of it, was very dry, couple of drops here and there seemed to make everything work better, next round will tell.

buddy got a DTX the other day, seems like it thats an old serial number, lets see if his has problems, then off the S&W it may go...

I just got a DTZ too so we'll see what happens. Got it for a good price though (new).
