Mine is "DWH" has the blue spring on the bolt, has the front flash cage and came with 1 25 rd mag. Although I ordered it in California, the gun dealer ordered what I requested, M&P 15/22 black with flash hider not the mandatory "Compliant Model" to states like Calif. How he did that I'll never know. But very happy, I purchased 2 10/25 full size mags directly from S&W's web site and an extra 10 rd from the gun dealer for zeroing the little rifle. Good Luck.
DVW0.... purchased 11-10-11. Put 200 CCI rounds thru it with one failure to fire with each magazine (8 total). Then put 300 Remington Thunderbolt rounds thru it with only one failure to fire out of the 300. Don't know if that is common with a new gun. Still trying to figure things out, but it is a fun gun to shoot.

just got mine
just got my m&p 15-22 on nov. 8, 2011 .... serial # starts DWH .. shot about 1,000 rounds thru it no problems .... about 10 FTF but i am using bulk ammo .... great gun, lots of fun to shoot ...
