I dont even know what mine is, I guess I could go look but Im lazy, lol. Ive had it for over 6 months though, fired probably 1000 or more rounds only had on FTF. The guy at Bass Pro where I bought it said to spray a little G96 gun treatment in it before I ever fired it and I would'nt have any problems. Guess he was right. I now religously clean it and use Hoppes products and its good to go every single time I am.

It's the prefix of the serial number.

Look on the label of the box, that will give you the model number. Look it up on S&W's web site and that will give the the exact model description.

How do you buy something and not know what you are buying/getting?
