i got mine from a local gun show, an after i got it home i realized it was the one with the stocked pined so i took it back an got a new one, an the guy scratched off the SS# he had down the the reciept an put the new one down, and i was like make sure you change the new number when u add this to your records, an i hope he did, bc if i ever have to send it back to s&w they will have the right SS#

Probably nothing in particular. It's just a three-letter prefix, most likely specific to the UK.

Just bought mine on August 16 at Cabala's in Wichita. Serial number is HBP83xx. What does "FDE MOE" mean? My rifle has the adjustable stock and flash suppressor with 25 round magazine. Thanks...
