Let's have a little fun.

Mule Packer beat me to it.
I would also have posted Hank Williams Jr.
"A Country Boy Can Survive."

Followed by Mose Allison, "Your Mind Is On
Vacation And Your Mouth Is Working Overtime."

"Talk is cheap, don't go making promises that
you can't keep..."

I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU done by VINCE GILL AND DOLLY PARTON. That is how I feel about Dorothy. Her picture covers my computer screen and a picture sets by my TV. I never fail to look at or hold her picture and tell her I love you and will continue until I die.
It is on YOU TUBE but I don't know how to add it.

per your request,,

Every time I hear Scotland The Brave, I'm reminded of the scene in the movie The Longest Day when the British troops are coming up to a bridge and their piper is leading the way. I'm fair sure the Germans must have been right frightened by seeing a piper marching to the fore and playing the pipes. Like as not the sound of his pipes filling their ears made them half crazy. :D

When I'm feeling romantic (yes, an old man like me can feel romantic, even if I can't do much about it) I want to hear Bing Crosby and "True Love" or perhaps Mario Lanza and "Some Enchanted Evening".

I will have to agree with Faulkner, Alan Jackson preforming "Remember When"' will always speak to me. I first heard it at a "choir practice" with a bunch of other cops I worked with. It brought back this somewhat painful memory. In Dec. 1969, I was home on leave from the Vietnam war and had 33 days leave before I was going back for a second tour. I planned on burning the candle at both ends and see every old girlfriend I had be fore enlisting. I started calling and going by their houses and what a bummer.

One was married, 2 were engaged or their mothers did not want them around a Marine. Another pretended she never heard of me and the last one did not associate with a " baby killer". Years later on the night I first heard the song, it hit me right between the eyes.

Later I found a good woman and we will celebrate 51 years of wedded bliss tomorrow. But, I will always remember when.

Not a well known song but John Prine has a good take on life. Skip the banter, song starts at about 1:40

Back in the 80's when I went to a store with sound equipment, I usta keep a ZZ Top cassette with the song "Tush" cued up.
Seemed sales people would avoid a person with long hair and brown skin. So I'd crank up "Tush" and soon there'd be a sales person asking, "can I help you?"
I called it my "can I help you" cassette.

Back decades ago when I was putting a sound system together, I found "Light My Fire" by the Doors was a great song for checking out speakers. Found a pair of Infinity Qa speakers that I used for a good 40 years. I still have them, but now I'm using a bigger pair of vintage Infinity speakers that I came across.
