Saw the thread about the dog walker , and got to thinking . Seems like guns and dogs go together . I have an Aussie/Collie mix and 2 pure bred AKC registered Australian Shepherds (sisters.) Anyways , let's see some pics ! The red is also a sister , I babysit her once in a while .

Roscoe, who grew from this to become that. He's a 1/4 Great Dane 3/4 Rottweiler. Not sure his current weight but probably about 120-135 lbs. His Great Dane genetics are fairly dominant especially in his personality. He's easy going, kinda lazy and as long as he gets walked his 2.5 miles a day he is more than happy snoozing the rest of his time.

Still have the proverbial problems posting pics: I had a Schipperke and an Akita (well, my brothers did). Wife and I have had 5-6 GSPs, a Schnoodle, and a terrier whippet. All but the first were rescues. We now have a pointing Griffon rescue we got 2 months ago, one GSP and the whippet/terrier

We lost our superdog Joe in May, but found this waif in July. My wife named her "Corey" (short for "Corazon" - Spanish for "heart").
I subsequently have been calling her "Booger" because she just looks like a little booger.

Here's a more recent picture. Booger has now established complete and total domain over the back yard. She's a joy.

Our little pup is now 6 months old, and still had a lot of puppy left in him. He's just now starting to sleep through the night, where he was getting me up about 3 times during the night to go pee. He's great company for my wife while I'm away at work, and I spoil him like crazy when I get home.

They truly are "Man's best freind". Thank you Lord for our dogs!

Edit; Oh yeah, his name is "Captain", (long story) I call him Cap'tn, Ding-dong, Wiener, Doo-dad, rat fink, Hoo doo,.......he'll never learn his real name.LOL!

We lost this fine fella last fall. He was loyal to a fault, much smarter than me, and was the best friend a guy could ever have.

I'd love to get another, but the wife doesn't seem to be ready just yet.

Greg, he looks to have been a fine fellow. Sorry ...

When your wife finally says yes, and you get the new dog, her reaction will be "Why'd we wait so long?"

We put one of our girls down a year and a half ago . We had our vet come to the house so she could pass in HER home , not the vets office . That afternoon I was on my way to South Fl to pick up Nala , the Aussie . There's only one way to fill that hole in your heart , and you know what that is .
