Let's See Some Dogs !

Beau's Father

Moses is Beau's father. He sired Beau when he was ten-years-old. Moses lived with a professional football player and his wife in a small town not far from where I live.

Moses had won his Championship in less than two years, if I remember correctly. I photographed him on March 12, 2011. He was dying of cancer, but he still looked magnificent to me. He never whimpered, he never seemed to be in pain. He was simply a beautiful Rottweiler, a credit to his breed.

Beau looks a lot like him in the face. I only got to meet Moses the one time, and I knew it would be the only time. I've never forgotten him.

The Mountain Feist has declared the shooting table is shut down.

A spotted Dalmation feeds/lives in the hood at different locations....she'll disappear for a while, then show back up... the neighbors have dubbed her Mona....she is definitely alpha!

Love the photo. It's great to see Ziva again!! Wish we had some of that snow down here for Annie and Beau to play in!

Thanks! Z absolutely loves the snow-not thrilled with the cold so much but loves snow. Hates water on the other hand haha. Moses was quite the good looking pup too!

This is Ziva's typical hang out place, she leaves just enough for one of us to join her LOL.

She's also very content hanging with the grandsons, this is the 20 month old

This is priceless! If I were you, I'd make a special and more deliberate effort to make more photographs with Ziva along this line. Take them out of the snapshot/grab shot category and bring them more into the casual portraiture type of photograph. The possibilities are almost endless.

Excellent idea-especially when we can spend more time outside, it'll be easier to get everyone together. Have a great weekend, give those pups a belly rub for me.

Interesting (strange?) that Ziva doesn't like water. All my Rottweilers have loved it. Especially moving water like streams and creeks. Beau will wade in creeks, even in winter time. Even Annie does it, especially if she sees something moving that needs closer examination (it might be something to eat!). Annie has plunged into ponds while barking at geese and ducks...as if she thinks she has a chance of catching one.

Li'l Orphan Annie

Annie was a 4-month old rescue pup when we got her. She's now ten and my best girlfriend. Laid back and friendly with people, dogs, and cats.

Bravo! This is what "rescue" is all about. And what a pretty girl your Annie is!

Not only have you been rewarded with ten years of love from Annie, I firmly believe you will be amply rewarded when you move on to wherever we go when we leave this earth.

My Shadow, Lab/Norwegian Elkhound cross. She is my constant companion and protector. Nothing with 2 legs or 4, 2 wheels or 4 gets within 50 feet of my house without her announcing. She is 10, it is very hard to imagine life without her when the time comes.

The Rottie pup was my bed buddy when I was visiting my step-son and family several years ago. They were dog sitting him and he instantly bonded with me.
