This is an update to an old thread titled "Light Strikes"...
This weekend, my three-month old M&P 15-22 PC started suffering light strike problems, that is, roughly two in ten cartridges failed to fire, and those cartridges had just the faintest firing pin impression on them.
I immediately suspected the JP Enterprise "yellow" springs I had installed to reduce the trigger pull, but when I opened everything up, I found about 1 mm of crud on the bolt face.
I cleaned the bolt face, the barrel face and the rest of the bolt. It works wonderfully again.
Enjoy!
