little dolls on Jeep dashboards

They're ducks, a new fad created by the young, new Jeep crowd to show someone showed you a "like" for your Jeep, it's called being "ducked". The old Jeepers keep the "Jeep Wave" going, a hold over from WWII.

FWIW: My BIL and SIL are both 65 and give and receive ducks with other Jeep owners.

I realize I'm not a true Jeep enthusiast, I use it as basic transportation. It is small/nimble 2 door Wrangler great for getting around both beach driving and our nasty winters. Heck its even stock, after decades of customizing vechicles I just drive it. Took the backseat out so I could easily transport long guns to the skeet and rifle ranges.

I did have one nice duck given to me. I was parked at my doctors parking lot and the one floor there is all for our Navy people. A rather nice tastefully customized Jeep parked next to me and a very nice E5 got out and she wished me a good day. I of course responded and thanked her for your service

Came out after my visit and and I had a nice duck with E5 stripes on it uniform. Gee I wonder where that came from!:)

As an outsider, the whole jeep/duck thing is silly. 🤣

I don't consider myself as a Jeep "insider", but having owned Jeeps since 1994, and currently owning two (a 2004 Wrangler Rubicon and a 2023 Gladiator), I also find the "duck" thing silly

I also notice (sample size = 1) that it seems to be "new to Wrangler" folks (who usually purchase Mall Crawlers, that will never see dirt, and will probably own it for 2 years, and never own another), that are into this

No one that I know, who owns a Wrangler/Gladiator, has "ducks" on their dash

A close buddy and his wife have lifted, tricked out, his and hers, Wranglers. Neither will ever leave the pavement; both have dashes laden with stupid ducks. To each his own.

I’ve owned 3 Jeeps. A Korean era mil-spec which was stolen the week after I bought it (never got to drive it)…a ‘92 Cherokee…and a ‘08 GC…
..and all I can say about the “duck thing” is…. My WW2 Army Air Corps Father was always a polite speaker…. never “cursed”… and referred to really objectionable people as “Queer Ducks”. :ROFLMAO:

Yep, that is typical of my experience with the "ducks on the dash" crowd

Mall Crawler wanna-be's

All the rubber ducks in the world can’t hide the fact your modern Jeep is a garbage vehicle with terrible quality control and laughable reliability.

What's wrong with having a little fun and frivolity with a Jeep. If I had one I would sport some dash ducks.

Also, the last I checked folks are free to spend their money how they choose. If they want to trick out their Jeep that is their business not mine.
Cmon Rusty

All things must be taken super seriously, vehicles included.

Money should only be spent on the most basic of needs. The rest should be saved to be passed down to people who didn't earn it.

Are you new here?

For 13 months now my wife has been a Bronco girl. She has a 2 door Outer Banks with a 6cyl. Riding on 33s. That things has power to spare. Unlike Jeeps reputation for being under powered. She actually talks a little smack to Jeep owners at traffic lights.
I had 4cyl at Wrangler hard top once. Bought it from my brother in law. It need a little work. After I fixed it up someone wanted it WAY more than me. Sold it before I ever titled it lol.
