To keep from starting a few seperate threads--everything will be in this one.
OK, some budding good news. I found dealers who were selling bricks of Remington and Winchester twenty-two cal ammo--for about thirty bucks. Show before it--one month ago--the lowest I saw was for fourty five bucks. I saw a fiveteen hundred round bucket for about one hundred sixty dollars--still way too much for me--but that was down about one hundred fourty five-from the last show. WHEN,you can get them at Academy--they are sixty-nine and change.
SOME gun prices were also down from the last show.
I got two great deals on handguns from two dealers. Dealer nr one--I got the Heritage Arms SAA "Rough Rider" six and one-half inch long barrel: twenty two--I had been wanting. This one has laminated camo grips, and came with a six shot cylinder and a nine shot cylinder--magnum. Just ofer two hundred bucks and change. This thing is a beauty and cant wait to get enough ammo--to make it worth taking out. This thing is like the line in a Phil Collins song: "Please take me home" Well, I did.
And now--for part of the rest of the story.
Im now and officially--no longer the only person on this site who admits it but--I am now the official owner of my first Smith and Wesson handgun.
This has only happened to the great generosity of one of the great members of this site thank you Ringo........... Ill not post exact details of transaction as I might accidentally leave out some details but..... I got from him, a thirty eight--Military and Police Model nineteen oh five fourth change. Sorry I cant post images of either but, this was a great day frome as well as a great score.Ringo is also most generous and it was nice to spend about an hour at his and another gents--table. Im looking forward to their next Robstown gun show set up.Next show is last day of Feb--March first.
Thank you Ringo--I owe you much more than gratitude. Im also hoping--some militaria I have for sale--will be sold and money collected--before next show. I have my eye on that Luger.
Anyway, this show--didnt seem to have as many junk venders as ive seen in the past--nor food venders either--and both rooms were full of sellers. Im saddened that my Soup lady and my Jerky lady--were not there.
Anyway, due to what I saw yesterday--at least locally--things are improving on the guns and ammo fronts.
anyway,it feels great to be the proud papa of my first two ""wheel guns.""
