I'll pray for recovery for your wife and strength and endurance for you.

We found out 2 weeks ago that my wife had a 3 inch tumor inside her heart. Last week she had open heart surgery and is recovering at home. We thank God , a great surgeon, a great recovery team and many people that prayed for her.

On your remodeling , just a suggestion...contact your local church to see if anyone can help you with that. Usually they have people that are glad to help.

For some reason I missed this thread until now. I am praying for your wife's continued recovery, Oldiron. It sounds like she is making terrific progress so far. I've seen God's healing power at work. He is awesome!

Tuesday night, my wife of almost 47 years, had a stroke. She was supposed to get a nerve block Thursday, so the doctor wanted her off of the blood thinner she takes because of afib.
She is in fair spirits most of the time and was moved to a regular hospital room this afternoon. Some time next week she will be moved to an in-patient rehab for three (?) weeks of intensive rehab and hopefully come home.
While she need prayer most to regain function of her left arm and leg, please don't forget me. While she is in rehab, I will find out how drastically I need to remodel the house to facilitate her needs. Right now as I sit here, I am physically and mentally on the ragged edge but gaining hope and finding I can withstand the long days and nights of no sleep to encourage the lady I love.
