Seriously, blowing 40 mph East to West with the range facing North. Looking through the scope I tried to touch off every time I got roughly to center. Breathing schmeething, I was all over the place at 100 yds. I did shoot 40 rds in total and considering May was my last outing, I'm not too disappointed with the last 15. The Mini MKX will put bullets through the same hole with someone skilled shooting it.
Stupid is as stupid does. I'm loaded up with 6 10 rd mags for the Ruger slabside. This gun runs like a top. Except for today. Every other round, fail to eject. Had to bang a case out with a section of broken cleaning rod I keep in my bag for just such an occasion.
Hmmm, I have a mini bottle of "RemOil", maybe a few drops. Doh, not another hiccup for 230 more rounds.
The Kahr P9 digested exactly 105 rds of "no-name" ball ammo without any issues. I shot at 15 yds today and my groups weren't much different from 7 yds. 6" across with a miniature 9mm, DAO; I didn't even break out the CZ75 I was so satisfied.
Lastly, I just got grips for the HiWay Patrolman, hadn't fired it in at least 15 years. Like a Timex, kept on ticking. 42 rds .38 spl, 24 rds 1970's vintage .357 (much rompum-stompum).
Last thing, I have no idea who makes the 9mm ammo. Headstamp says "USA", box of 250 says "American Quality Ammunition," no lot # or manufacturer code. Paid $62.50 for it a couple weeks back, worked perfectly, fed, fired, ejected and seemed consistent.
In total, a day of pleasant surprise and not one drop of sweat (until I got home and cut the grass). Joe
