Went shooting with my sister over the weekend.
She pulled out her Ruger GP100 and a box of what she thought was .357 ammo.
Turned out to be .357 SIG.
I told her that I had remembered seeing a Glock in .357 SIG at a gun, hardware, grocery, restaurant, gas station, Post Office West Virginia country store that was on the way to the gym and she gave me the box of ammo.
We put a lot of rounds through her Glock 19 and I liked the way it felt and shot.
So, I decided that if it was a model 33 and was under $500 that I'd go ahead and get it.
It was and it was.
Since I have a West Virginia carry permit, it took very little time and out I walked with a brand new Glock 33 in .357 Sig.

Good going, Snubby! You will probably enjoy shooting that one!

I might have the only .357 Sig & Wesson. Got a chamber reamer, reamed a 686 cylinder and cut it for moon clips. It shoots great. The same moon clips will work for 9mm, 38 Super, 357 Sig, 40 S&W, & 10mm. I have made 686es in all of them except 10mm.

I think you’ll like it Snubby.

Had one several years ago. Bought a Storm Lake 40SW barrel for it. The 40 SW wasn’t much fun. But surprisingly the 357 Sig wasn’t bad at all. The recoil was over and done with so fast that it wasn’t as noticeable.

And boy does the 357 Sig shoot flat.

Get yourself one of these.

You’ll thank me later.

Congratulations! .357 SIG is an extremely underappreciated cartridge, but it seems like more folks have taken interest lately which makes me hopeful that much like the 10mm Auto, it will see renewed interest in the not-too-distant future.

Just a few months ago my brother got me into the cartridge by gifting me a .357 SIG Conversion Barrel for my M&P40c on my birthday, and I've go to say, it's an impressive little cartridge. It really is a wonder that it wasn't more popular when it honestly delivers what it promises, equivalent ballistics to that of the old .357 Magnum 125gr FBI Loads out of a 4" Barrel.

I think you’ll like that pistol. I’ve had a Glock 32 for a while now and really like it. When my cop shop gets more Glock 33’s in I plan on buying one. Another local shop has a used Glock 24 for sale, I’m mulling getting it and putting in a .357 Sig conversion barrel. I bet a 6” barrel would really maximize the performance of the .357 Sig cartridge.

One of my sons carried a Sig 239 in .357 Sig, until his agency switched to -- what else? -- Glocks. He loved it. He witnessed a shooting by one of his colleagues, and said the suspect dropped like a rock when the single shot hit him.

I got a glock 35 with a lone wolf. 357 sig barrel for it. That is a blast to shoot, and with the almost 6 Inch barrel, those .357s gotta be movin pretty quick. Got a conversion barrel for my shield 40 as well. That thing shoots fireballs like that it's job with ppu blue box 125gr fmj.

A G33 has been my primary carry for years, using a Kramer pocket holster. Works great in my setting for discrete constant carry. For me, a full mag is about as fun as it gets, then it becomes increasing devoid of pleasure.

My .357 Sig is in the form of a S&W M&P C in .357 Sig with the exterior safety. One of our local departments uses that caliber in Glock 31 and 32. Only one officer from that PD has had to defend himself with that caliber and he came out on top. That department was carrying .45 ACP before the switch. I think the main reason more departments don't use .357 Sig ammo is the cost vs. 9 MM.

Congratulations and excellent choice! I have the same, except mine is a gen 3 I’ve had for many years but just recently began to carry in a Galco Yaqui slide holster after I sold off several other Glocks. It’s a handy powerful pocket rocket!

Snubby, congrats on the new Glock! I actually shot my friends Glock (same model) in 357 Sig a few months ago. It was a nice gun, quite accurate, reliable and did have a little snap to it.

Right now might be the time to procure a bunch of spare ammo for it as it seems it has been on sale lately. Even Sig themselves recently ran a sale on their brand of ammo. While the 357 Sig is an excellent performer, popularity of said cartridge could start to wane as the USSS switched back to 9mm. Sometimes the cartridges are a bit hard to find in a LGS. You should also look at Target Sports USA's web sight. They usually have the best stock and lowest prices anywhere. They deliver right to your door step and when buying a sealed case, they eat the shipping. They are excellent to deal with!

Shoot it in good health!
