Looking for info about Bill Davis

Hi, just joined and looking around.
I would like to know if anyone reading this has any knowledge of bill davis the gun builder.
Perhaps someone can steer me in the right direction.
You see, I have a model 64-3 that I was told bill built himself for a second place prize Western classic sharpshooter at 4 Queens in las vegas. Not sure what year. It's a nice gun and I have won matches with it. Now that I can't see well enough to compete I want to pass it on. I think the gun will be worth more if it was, in fact, built by mr davis himself.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Mike,
I'd just guess that it is probably a real Davis gun.
If so, I would also guess it is worth no more, no less than a shooter grade Davis PPC gun.
A lot will depend on condition and I have seen them sell as low as $400.00 for a pretty nice one last spring. I wish now I would have bought that one myself.
You can go to Gunbroker and see roughly what they have sold for in the past.
It will also show you what people are asking for them but that is not always what they will bring.

'Custom' guns are REAL difficult, to impossible, to put a price on. To some any modifications actually decrease value. Compare similar and keep your fingers crossed.

Mr. Bill Davis, the gun builder, is a member here. Hasn't posted much and I believe all posts have been in the competition forum. Not too sure how often he checks the forum.
