I lost a buddy this past weekend.
Charlie was my four and a half year old Shetland Sheepdog.
People that should have known better, let him step in front of an oncoming car.
I rushed him to the vet e-room, but the damage was done and he died in the back seat of my truck on the way.
I don't get too attached to pets. But, he was special. He was sweet and gentle. Very loving. He loved to go for a walk and a ride. I couldn't take him anywhere whithout some kids wanting to pet "Lassie" (for a Sheltie he was VERY big).
My nightly walks just will not be the same without him.
