Mailman delivered a package to my door this afternoon. Wrapped up nice and snug inside was a .32 Regulation Police that shipped from the factory in May of 1922. The pictures from the auction site were not very complementary, showing several nasty looking blemishes on the gun. To the naked eye, up close and personal, the blemishes are not nearly so bad.

The main reason I purchased the gun was because of it's 6" barrel. I have been "looking" for a 6" .32 HE/RP for quite some time, up until now they have either been too expensive or totally battered. This one has the original finish and factory matching stocks. The action is really tight and I doubt it has had two boxes of cartridges fired through it.

First two pics taken upon arrival. Second two pics taken after a bit of a cleaning. At some point, a previous owner filled the lettering with a white filler. Haven't decided yet whether or not I will get out the acetone and remove it.

At any rate, I am quite pleased to add this one to the family.
