everyone have a good thanks giving. I'm going outside to get the turkey for the table. i got a new technique for catching it,,i will have my kid video it ,,not the butcher part tho! just the catching it! ;)

While I love a good semantics debate as much as the next guy, this one has gone on too long. The man needs a name for his device and I would suggest the "M-LAT/15-22", which is acronymese for "Magazine-Loading Assistance Tool/15-22" which tells what it does and what kind of firearm it is designed for. Informative, to the point, and sounds military as hell; what more could anyone ask for? And, Sir; if you get them in production at a reasonable price, I will probably buy one or two since my grandkids may not be around to keep my magazines loaded for me by then. Best of luck with your project!

thanks for your interest,, I hope to have them in production very soon. I'm waiting for the last models to get back and test them, if their all good, fit well, and work properly, they go to molding, while my legal guys work on all the legal stuff, but the name you suggested is good so far. kinda catchy. these things take some time "haste makes waste" as they say, so far the price seems to be estimated around $25-$30. i got several bids out for possibly making the loading box out of stamped tin? I'm curious to see how the over all cost of manufacturing /materials will be compared to plastic injection molding. just trying to keep it cheap without suffering quality, while keeping all the work local in Pennsylvania. and use as many small shops as possible. I still have instructions/packaging/labeling,web site to do yet..:(

I'll reserve my comments on the price until I actually see one of the mystery devices. :)

The problem with 15-22 accessories is you can get "$25-$30"ed to death. No matter what the goodie is, the "projected" price is always either $25-$30 OR $40-$50.

I'd love, just once, for someone to say "I'm hoping to bring it in under $10" - and DO IT!. :)

I'm assuming you mean tin-coated steel, like in tin cans? Pure tin is neither cheap, nor strong.

yea something like that, some kinda cheap metal, i will explore the whole gamut of materials. there is a slot in the loading box that requires a tight tolerance so it has to be fairly rigid.
so Mercury is out!

i second that, but I'm confident i will be OK meeting that price, any higher and it wont sell.
thats why i dont own a "boat" or Harley Davidson.
they stand for "b"reak "o"ut "a"nthor "t"housand or every accessory is a "H"undred "D"ollars!

Yes. I received the first round of prototypes back, the magazine parts works great the cartridge tray not so good.
i am resubmitting the new design this weekend and if all good they are ready for production,

Meanwhile I'm working on all the packaging, instructions and legal stuff.
We are HOPING to be in production by the end of the month.
I have a meeting next week for a Pennsylvania grant to help with manufacturing cost ,as long as i keep all production in pa.

Sweet! Good luck with the grant!

definitely will do,, i got to get this one to market first tho,
I have researched about a dozen already, but i don't want to run my donkey over with the cart! my design will be easily adaptable to other mags as long as they have load assist buttons,,and some with and adapter tool, but yes is already on the table of future ideas.

I'm already getting requests for AR 22 conversion mags
ruger1022 ,522, 1911 mags of all caliber.
I'm curious if there going to work on doomsdays magazine!,and the
black dog 50RD drums!
but we will discuss how to cross that bridge when we get there,,or just blown the dam thing up!

UPDATE: I have recieved that latest round of prototypes and they work great, if you guys are ready i will work on a demostration video.
lets see some interest before i dump 50k!
