M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

Beautiful looking rifles.

My brother wanted a little color for his 15-22. He just wanted his rail covers, stock and grip painted, but I talked him into a little more change. I installed a Tacticool22 free float adapter, delta ring assembly, True Shot Technologies A2 Front Sight, AFG and mid-length MOE hand guard. He already had the ACS and Vortex Strikefire in a cantilever mount. I shot the stock, grip, hand guard, AFG and Strikefire in Flat Forest Green. The flash makes it seem a lot brighter than it really is. Here it is with mine and then by itself:

New additions... Dust cover needs painting... and it's really just for show... But overall works amazing! Machined aluminum. Love the plinker tactical charging handle too!

Mine

I'm dubbing this "Project Overreach". Barska 6.5-20x50 Scope, UTG Bipod, Caldwell Brass Catcher, No-name Rail Covers. Because a .22 needs a scope that can see out to several hundred yards.

Haven't had it out since I got the scope. I don't know yet if this was a fun idea or if I should have just gone with a 3-9x40 or stuck with the irons and been done with it. I'll find out on Saturday, weather permitting.

Forgive the paint cans and mess, doing a bit of renovation.

Nice looking firearms everyone! I picked mine up on the PSA deal this week. It lasted about 12 hours before I painted the stock, mag and my spare magpul grip. I just wanted to have some fun with this gun as my sport is all black.

Here's a pic of my 15/22 , SR1911, and Glock23. (The Glock is a little hard to see.). The M&P has a Magpul Miad grip, angled front grip, Caldwell bipod, UTG 3-9×40, a laser with pressure switch, and 45 degree offset BUIS.

anyone have pics with primary arms micro dots with the stock riser, wanna see how they look!

My 15-22 with PA Micro and standard riser that they ship with. Yes, you get a lower 3rd co-witness. I never do and don't see the point really. I'm either using my red dot or throwing up my BUIS with it off. Either way, it works. Great dot and riser for the 15-22. I had a multi-retical on there but didn't like the weight. This is just about perfect.

Nothing too special. It's the MOE Flat Dark Earth version, I have both black and fde mags with a Magpul angled foregrip and a Multi-TAC Quick Aim Sight from Center Point. Sitting next to my G19 with a Crimson Trace LG-452.

Someone recently posted "I thought this was a picture thread" .

You thought right. My apologies for not policing this thread well enough. I cleaned it up for postings in 2014.

Hey guys, if ya got a quick question like "what is that scope" that's fine. I'll later come along and clean things up. But some of y'all were posting things that are better for general discussion rather than pollute the pic thread.

What scope and mini red dot are you using?

What scope and mini red dot are you using?

It's a CenterPoint Tactical 1 - 4 x 20 AR Riflescope from Academy Sports... amazing tactical scope that was only $79.99. It has a circle dot reticle that can be illuminated red or green. Very clear lenses and smooth focus/zoom.

It came with a basic cantilever mount... but I purchased a new cantilever mount that had a small rail section on top so I could put the reflex mini red dot (RMR) on top... it's more for looks than anything as I've only fired with it a few times, I usually stick to the scope.

The RMR was about $49.99 and it has never lost zero.

Oh, and I did add the small rail riser... it's not really needed because the eye relief of the scope is not zero, so where you see it in the picture is about as far away or as close as you'd want it. I purchased the riser to clear the rear BUIS, but then realized with it that close I got a halo in the lens. The mount is high enough to hold the scope on the rail, but I just haven't removed the riser yet.

Here it is, (6 hours and 160 Miles later) nothing special at the moment, only addition is the mod/can/suppressor. depending on where you live.

All as standard including "Blue" springs on bolt carrier and trigger group. Also has uprated trigger according to my dealer as it is marked with white dot on hammer.

My plan is to put a AFG FDE on it and a 4X optic/red dot as next priority. Lamp is something I already have on another rifle (CZ .22) so will switch between as and when

Edited - post general questions in the discussion threads not hear in the pic thread

Picked up some spare mags for my new gun at Cabela's... a S&W 25 round and two aftermarket 35 rounders. My gun is also good for the FREE S&W 300 round .22 ammo offer...bought it on Saturday the first day of eligibility.
