M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

do mall ninja's have different levels? a white belt for a black rifle with side rail mounted sights to shoot gangsta style versus a black belt for a guy fully geared up for WWIII.

you know, they have derogatory terms for us tacticool rifle guys but what about the cowboy action shooters who get all decked out in the latest 1860's fashion and even have aliases like black bart and marshall butthead. would they be saloon ninjas?

I think that would make the 1911 guys "brothel Ninjas"

Bushnell

Here is my 15-22. Added a Bushnell Red T Dot Sight and a FAB Defense Fore-grip/Bi-Pod.

I really like the Bushnell trophy a lot. I considered getting it to replace my sightmark red dot but decided to put that money towards a TK10 (Flashlight) and Fenix mount. I still want to get it one day, tell me what u think of it. What do you like the most about it and what are its biggest flaws.

"saloon ninjas"

I LOVE IT!!!:D

Or how about the guys that wear skirts AND shoulder holsters? Trani-ninjas?:D

I just joined the club!!!!

Used Snappycry info on building this suppressor, just added electrical tape to give it a different look.

here is a newbie question: how easy/hard is it to change the standard stock to the Magpul CTR or MOE (milspec size, right?). does the stock simply pop on/off the standard stock tube? spings/screws/smallparts involved?

about to go spend another 500 rounds in the new hobby (almost 1,000 so far with out a single flaw!)

thanks guys

MOE/CTR's or any milspec stock will just click & slide on the m&p's faux buffer tube.

i didnt know how to do it either but it is really simple. the standard stock can be removed by pushing the lever away from the stock instead of pulling it towards it (push the end of the lever u would use to adjust the length and then just slide of the stock)

the magpul stock will have instructions which are very easy, u just gotta disengage the pin that holds the stock on the tube and slide it on. this could require a tool but the plastic bullets they included work just fine.

is there any advantage of the CTR over the MOE, or MOE over CTR?
The CTR has QD sling points and a locking mechanism that eliminates "rattle" or movement in the stock. Thats why the MOE is half the price. However if you don't need these options then it is a great deal. Both are good quality stocks. I will say though, i have both and i like the CTR alot more.

Hey...new guy here.

Here's a couple pics of my 15-22.

First day at the range, sighting it in somewhat (standing, rapid fire):

(sorry, it's a cellphone pic)

Then I got a little carried away online one night...and ordered a Tapco 'stubby' foregrip, Bushnell Trophy T-dot, and an Uncle Mike's 'tactical rifle' case (as recommended on here!...not shown):

Then I found a deal on 3 new mags (person to person), and decided to try a fancy staged photo showing it all off:

(yeah, it's grainy...I suck at good pics)

...

FWIW, the rifle's been 99% reliable...with a few 'fail to feed' problems (probably attributed to mag loading).

It's a DTMxxxx serial, with a blue star on the manual...whatever all that signifies...haha.

Haven't been to the range with the new sight, maybe this week.

Anyway, just wanted to share.

Echo-1 (or CAA) Crane Stock "Cheek Piece"
UTG Tactical Sling
UTG Folding Forward Grip
UTG Bipod
SRC Die Cast Alum Carry Handle
UTG Carry Handle rail
LED Flashlight (Generic) on a 1" scope ring
FACOG 0 Mag RDS

Planned:

Threaded barrel with VLTOR or A1 Flash Hider, SPR Sniper Grip, Ambi Mag Catch, Rail covers (not sure who yet).

go with the Larue Index Clips, they feel and look great and are very adjustable.

btw, how do you like the optic on top of the carry handle? do you find it too high?

Depends on what I am doing.. If I am shooting like a Mall Ninja it's not too high. If I am using the BiPod I would rather be on the cheek piece with the optic on the flat top. It only takes seconds to change the config. But I've always LOVED carry handles and I've never really been a big fan of flat tops.
