M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

It's buried somewhere in this thread so I'll tell you how I did it. First clean the area with a degreaser and let it dry. Then liberally rub the crayon into the area you want color. Remove as much excess as possible. Then I applied alittle heat using a BIC to melt the wax and smooth it out. While it still I wiped away any more excess that was remaining. I started out by practicing this on the S&W logo one of my mags but then I ended up doing all my mags. Here's how rifle turned out, it still had some extra residue in the pic but you get the idea.

I used Crayola and just rubbed the crayon over the area to be filled. Rubbed in different directions to fill all crevices and rubbed fairly hard to fill the engraved areas to the top.
Once done I used a bit of tshirt with a drop of gun cleaning liquid to clean off the residue. Rubbing carefully to not remove crayon from the crevices.
Worked great.

This is my 15-22 from last Christmas. This year I added all of the nice OD green parts. I have a ND-3 mounted in front of the AFG2. I went PTS on the mbus sights and afg2.
Optics are next, but I am not sure what I want to mount yet. I'm pretty sure that it will be a compact 3x9 on a pepr mount.

A few new additions to the 15-22. New scope, bipod, 45 degree mount for the front sight and tan rail covers.
Oh before anyone says anything, yes the front sight is on backwards. Noticed that after i took the pictures lol

Update to my mp15-22
Today finnally some upgrades arrived home:
A.- magpul str stock
B.- MI MCTAR-30 end plate adaptor with quick disconnect (see pic)
C.- hogue grip
Allready adaptor and stock installed as you will see on the pictures. Ill have to go to the store for the missing 3/16 allen.
Ill post that later.. Updated look at the last 2 pics!!

Just picked it up and attached a few add-ons. Right now it has the red dot...but I've also got the 3-9 Barska plinker scope. I'll post a photo later.
I have a sling coming.
Was thinking of changing the butt stock, any suggestions? or does anyone know of any other After-market parts that will give it some more character?

Thanks, it's a Hawke Optics Sidewinder 4.5-14x38. This model no longer made unfortunately. It's a bit overkill for this rifle but works great.

Not that it makes a huge difference with a polymer frame, but move the RDS off the hand guard onto the upper. There will be less inaccuracy from hand guard flex.
