M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

Between the two choices, I would say black... However, my first choice I think would be OD or foliage green. That would probably blend the best with your camo rifle.
Thanks, I was just lookng at some parts on amazon & was the OD green. that could be a good way to go.
Sure you know how it is will just be able to get one maybe two things at a time. Hard to tell what it will look like by seeing it on putter. Guess I will see what they have in OD at the range just to see how it looks.
MY luck, I will get it all dressed up & have no ammo to dance with

My Toy

S&W 15-22 in OD Green
-Houge Grip
-ACS Stock
-Magpul BUIS
-Primary Arms Multi Dot and 3x Magnifier
-Magpul RVG
-UTG 9"-13" Bipod
-Cheap Flashlight mount/ with a Precision Flashlight
-Troy Battle Rails, Ergo Ladder Rails, and 1 Single Magpul XTM Rail

Next upgrades I am hoping for are a Blue Force or VTAC sling, Tacticool Charging Handle and SWS latch, new trigger (can't decide which), and a new flash hider

Tried Crayola trick and didn't like how it turned out, but want to do the lettering black as well.

Wish I could get my hands on an OD green one, but I don't live any where near an academy sport store.

Do they still sell them?

I've had this one for a couple years, it is the only one I have ever see in person. I had been on the fence about getting one, but bought this one immediatly

I am thinking I will start off small & cheap. Angled fore-grip & ladder rail covers or panels can't make up me mind I like both. I have seen that black is cheaper sometimes by half.

I think these would go well with the camo, either that, or I would just stick with ladder rail to show off more of the camo.

The covers are a little more comfortable though.

Thanks, what do you think of the cheaper ladders on amazon ?

Anyone who pays MagPul's prices for rail ladders and panels is nuts. On a 15-22 they are 90 percent cosmetic. This is one time there is little functional difference between the name-brand stuff and the eBay ladders.

Unless of course you wish to buy made in the USA and don't wish to support foreign businesses that many times knock off American product without paying royalties. Every product my business sells is made in the USA.

I have no problem with looking for the best price and sometimes that means purchasing something made outside the USA. However please make sure the product is legal.

Yes, I wish to buy US made the overwhelming part of the time, but I will not pay $16 for a six-inch rail ladder (which contains probably 25 cents worth of material) from MagPul when I can get one for $2 that serves exactly the same purpose.

The stock, grip, AFG, rail ladders, and rail covers, on my rifle in post #4004 above, are all official Magpul. As for the functionality of the rail covers, the Magpul XTM Enhanced Rail Panels fit a lot closer to the rail than any cheap rail panel I have seen. The circumference of the forend with the panels on is not much larger than a standard M4 handguard.

As for the cost, there is a real good tactical gun shop near me that has a very large Magpul section with reasonable prices.

Sounds nice but what about the legality of the cheap product that can be bought on ebay? So you would buy something that is manufactured in a foreign country that is an illegal knock off of an American product?

Rail ladders are not a knockoff of a patented american product. There's a half dozen manufacturers of the things here in the US - and almost all are over priced.

I'm no fan of Chinese knockoffs, as you well know, Jim. Quit looking for an argument. :)

I had a hard time paying for the name brand ladder rails, I got a ziploc bag full at a gun show for $10. Not 100% sure, but I think ergo licences their rails for other brands, there is not much difference between any of them.

I love my troy battle rails, they are personally the most comfortable rails I have tried and no do not seem as bulky as the magpul or others to me.

Exactly. I like most MagPul products, especially my AFG2 and the CTR stock, but I refuse to pay what they want for ladder rails. For those you are paying through the nose for the name.

If eBay turns one off, there are good deals on Amazon, which is where I got the ones for my grandsons' rifles.
