I like the look of the Vietnam era m16-a1 so here is my version, low buck but lots of work making the surplus parts fit.

The STR is a good blend and I think it has been a great stock for Magpul. I tried one at some point but I went back to the SOPMOD. I think the Magpul cheekweld is a different angle. I really don't even look at stocks anymore. It's nothing but SOPMODs for me.

Good to know. My optic mounts seem fine. My FUG is a little wobbly on the MP15-22. I'm wondering if it has dug into the rail at all and loosened it up. I may look at some other VFG options that aren't so harsh on the rail.

I've updated my rifle. I added a TA44S-10 ACOG. I had one on an AR15 of mine a number of years ago and loved it. I foolishly sold it and have missed it since. I recently picked one up used and am pleased to have one again. The circle dot reticle is so crisp and the glass clear for my sorry eyes. I also added a LaRue sling to complete the package.

I talked to Kineti-Tech and it seems they may be coming out with a KAC fake can. This should be nice addition for those looking for some clone type parts.

My 15-22. Has an 8-inch Tacticool shroud, SolarForce light with pressure switch, Diamond 1x40 red dot, Tacticool aluminum charging handle, while a Hogue pistol grip, Magpul rail covers, Mag Well Grip, short 10-round mag and a Magpul stock are coming in a few days.

Why do some people mount their red dots so far forward on the rail? Isn't it harder/slower to acquire the target that way?

Thanks! I loved seeing all the cool guns in this thread! You guys gave me a lot of ideas!! I do like this gun a lot and the fact that the stock can be unpinned in 10 seconds and becomes fully adjustable and the mags get unpinned and become full capacity is pretty cool, if I happen to move to a state that isn't run by Nazis.

Magpul MOE version

My M&P 15-22 Magpul edition with ultimate arms red dot reticle, single point sling, and folding foregrip from Cabela's. I don't remember the name though.

I'm awaiting delivery of what appears to be an identical sling. How do you like yours? Mine is going to be a 2-point.
