M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

Don't be skeered, here is a simple native grass Krylon .17 i did for a guy, very easy:

Here is my whole hunting truck rattle can Krylon with half a palm tree!

3K gun???? How about rattle can sponge paint on a 3K Schmidt and Bender Scope.....then comes the Predator rifle!

improved design:

Just remember that paint is easier to strip off a metal receiver than the polymer on the 15-22. a normal AR, Krylon will come off with Brake Cleaner, 15-22 not so much!

Thank you. I used krylon camo khaki and brown. I used a laundry bag and some broom needles in a couple areas

I hear you on being skeered. I used my 15-22 as my sample/test run for my SPR build I want to rattle can. Now that one is tough to rattle something that has nearly $3k into it.

This one is next if I can get myself to do it.

Thanks, and I hear ya...$400 rifle is a little easier to swallow than a 3k one.

I'm still thinking about it...lol...also thinking about stippling my shield, skeeered with that as well :D

i like those quick adjust scope lever things you have on both those rifles, i've been looking into them, pretty cool, gives you good leverage!

When stippling (i have a side biz that i do undercuts/stippling/finger groove removal) it depends on what tools you have. now understand i have professional wood burning pens, that i actually do portraits in wood with, but i have 2 extra pens one that is sharp as a needle and on that is small and round. depending on the pattern, go slow and shallow with your heating tool, be it a soldering iron that you sharpened the tip on or what. practice on an old pistol grip or a gun box and you will pick it up quick. then you can brake out the Foredom or Dremel and go to town on a frame!!!!!

Almost there!

Now to fit the Scorpion Grip, once I find the right sized Allen Key!!!!

Update, after swift visit to next door neighbour, said Allen Key sourced and new grip fitted. :D

Possibly might be somewhere near the end now, maybe 3 more pieces to add to the puzzle, then done! ;)

Until next time I see something I like..

Here's mine. A work in Progress

Here's mine. Still a few things to get, but it's turning out exactly the way I want it. Shoots great.

Just Cell Phone pics but you get the idea

Plinker Tactical Charging Handle - Fantastic if you are left handed, which I am
Sightmark Ultra Dual Shot Pro Spec NV Sight QD w/Laser - Really great product for the money
Sightmark 3X Magnifier - more below
Tapco Intrafuse T6 Rubber Butt Pad - Nice quality, does the job.
MAX OFF SET Tactical Mount - Great Product
Letherman Serac S3 Flashlight -Brighter than my 3 D cell Mag-light
UTG D-Grip w/ Quick Release Deployable Bipod - Very Sturdy - all cast aluminum. Good "wow" factor
S&W 10 Round Short Mag - Looks cool and great to keep in the bedroom drawer... just in case
Modified Butt Stock - Drilled a hole for hanging from a post in the closet. @ more smaller ones - looks cool
Changed Safety to Left Handed - needed
TactiCrayola - Works Great
Flip up BUIS - Cheap but they work

The Only thing I had any issues with was the Sightmark 3X Magnifier. The first one arrived broken and the rest of the quality on it was terrible. The replacement was much better quality. Works perfectly. Just be aware. Slide to Side mount does work great if you adjust the detent screws properly. No problems with looseness at all.

Just added the BUIS. I'm pretty much done for now. Down the road I'll probably do a different grip and definitely a 2 point sling.

Here is my MOE with magpul foregrip, cheap little leapers red/green dot but works great for $30, and barrel shroud from kineti-tech. Might add a single point sling and a light for ****s and gigs

With new toy attached.

You realize, once you put that can on, you can never go back to shooting ANYTHING w/o one! Soon you will have a 'stamp' collection and will have forgotten where you put your ear plugs!!!

finally managed to get hold of some KNS anti-rotation pins

Nice rifle! Is this an older model 15-22 or did you have the custom work done to it? Meaning the DD hand guard and the muzzle device you put on. I'm looking to pick up one of these but all that I have looked at have fixed hand guards.

When you can, please let me know if you bought it like this or had it custom built. thanks.
