Which type round did you find to be the most accurate?

I thoght it would be a good idea to survey M&P 15-22 owners to find out how many owners have had to send their guns back to Smith & Wesson for repair and for what reason.

Please take a minute to answer the poll. Thanks...

Thanks for thinking of this survey - it is an excellent idea.

Put about 100 rounds of CCI Mini Mag and Remington Thunderbolt through last night with no problems. This gun is too much fun so far.

:DHad problems from day 1, it wouldn't eject a round right away. Found this forum, read up on the fix, did it and now have about 500 rounds through it with only 3 FTF likely casued by the mag. Love this thing. Maybe there should also be a poll for people that fixed it themselves....

15-22

Love mine it is alot of fun only problem was the gun lost all its accuracy ,after checking it out found barrel was loose.I made a tool to thighten it works good now.Have shot around 2500 rounds through it without much trouble as long as I load the mags right.(take your time)Noticed the one corner of the feed lip on mag is chipped ,I believe it is caused by the ejector. All in all a very nice gun

Just joined the forum, got my 15-22 for Christmas, took it out on Wednesday, 175 rounds of 4 different types of 22, no problems at all.

The mini mag's were the most accurate but it was hard to tell I was at indoor range only 20 yrds with crappy lighting.

Indoors

I hate shooting indoors but it's all we can do here with somewhere beyond 2 feet of snow on the ground and counting. Our high temp today should break zero!

Sent my 15-22 back to S&W over 3 weeks ago for missing extractor. Still waiting. I'm sure the hold-up is due to the holidays.

This poll is distrurbing though! Over 25% failure rate with this rifle is unacceptable. I know it's only a .22 but come-on. I have better things to spend my money on. I have not heard if this is a design flaw or a manufacturing issue.

well i woudnt say 25% are bad cause people that dont have prob. dont do the polls as much as people who are havin prob. but i do think s&w stated that 10 out of a 100 had a prob. of some sort..but in their defense they are fixing the prob. at no cost to their customers and redesigning their extracters on new models

BF, Do you know for a fact that all returned rifles are being outfitted with re-designed extractors?

If this is that case we could see the issue go away which would suit me just fine.

The poll only counts those who have returned their rifles or have had no problems. Lots of folks have/had problems but not returned the rifle. No selection for that.

Sorry, I tried to add another selection but you can't edit the poll section of a thread.

im just sayin atleast theyre trying to fix the prob. or problems.. ive own guns that the company wouldnt even try to back up and punt... maybe it will get sorted out if not maybe some 1 will post a tweakers how to

i hope for the us owns sake they do find the fixes and fined them fast and make things right

I finally got the chance to shoot my gun, and after about 100 rounds, I didn't have a single FTF or FTE. I LOVE THIS GUN!

Only put about 400 rounds mine, and they have all been the cheapo remmington golden bullets (bought before reading the horror posts about them). However, my 15-22 ate them with no problems at all. They are very dirty though. Gonna try the federal champions value pack next.
