M&P15-22 Blue Springs

My springs were blue. I performed a thorough cleaning after about 700 rounds and the blue color came off the springs in the trigger mechanism area. In was using CLP cleaner, and it took the blue color off

The blue is just a light coat of a spray paint. It has no effect upon the performance of the springs. :)

the blue springs were on the "fixed" models.. prior ones were known to have problems. I'm not sure if I want to take out my blue springs for the yellow ones.. Or does it take away the "problem solving" ability of the blue springs?

I did that 15 minute trigger job where you cut the leg of the hammer spring and now occasionally I'll have a few misfires. Does anyone know where I can get a new replacement hammer spring or what I can do to fix this?

The easy thing is just to order a set of JP Yellow springs or call S&W for a replacement.

There are a lot of mods on the Internet that shouldn't be done. Cutting the hammer spring is one of them.

I just checked my rifle and the springs are blue underneath all the filth. This thing needs a good cleaning!

I don't want to come on as jerk, but I got a MOE with the blue springs...I have good smooth trigger pull and a crisp break.....Is this normal?....Should I expect this to deteriorate over time?
