I don't have a 15-22... yet... but I like the thread and wanna play, too!

Almost 62 years young, semi-retired geologist in the oil patch... been self-employed for 32 years and haven't hit a lick at a snake for a long time!

Interesting. I had to ask, how do you get a lead aircraft off the ground?

Assuming it's a navy aircraft, with a lead catapult, naturally.

Being about half of the average age here, I too was surprised at the "older" (I prefer to call them "wiser" myself) people here. I got to thinking about it though, and it makes sense. (exceptions to every rule-keep in mind) The wiser/older folks shoot for enjoyment, relaxation, and fun. Whereas us younger folk like to have the biggest caliber, loudest bang, and most expensive rifle to show off with. Honestly I personally fall in to both shooting types, hence my sport and 15-22. But for the quieter, relaxed shooting types, there's not much out there that beats the reliability, adaptability, and fun-ability(I know, I know) of the 15-22. Stands to reason if the wisest shooters like the 15-22, I made the right choice.

Don't worry. Some of us older shooters still like the big boomers and "play" with them now and then too. It's also GREAT seeing the younger generations following the same path we've been on to carry on tradition.

I like the fact that most of the names that I see are names I have seen repeatedly. Majorlk for example is one of my favorites, Always full of information. This thread has helped to put names to persons

Looks like I have to help lower the age averages...

I just purchased an M&P 15-22 this week...for my son's 11th Birthday.

So...he is 11 years old. Occupation: 5th Grade Student.

I'm 33 an am an army officer on active duty.

I was thinking of purchasing my son a 15-22. Everytime we are out shooting in the woods or at the range he will not let go of the rifle.
