What's everyone paying for their 15-22's ? I live in S.E MI and the prices are very inconsistent from gun store to gun store. Right now I'm seeing an average price of about $480.00 w/o tax. Does that sound about right?
Thanks,

I've seen post on here where people have paid as low as about $430 to $499. I paid $475 at a gun show in PA about three weeks ago.

$399 here in Stroudsburg, PA. Dunkelbergers Sporting goods. Best price I've seen, and that was last week !

I purchased mine in Southern Maryland for $480.00 before tax.

I'm on the road currently and just visited a gun show in Springfield, Missouri were they were selling for $425 before tax. While I was there I found one 25 round magazine which i grabbed for $20.

You'd think with the way the economy is here in S.E. Michigan that some gun store owner would want to work with me To keep the money in the area. The crazy thing is I'm also ready to purchase a S&W 642 or a 442 for my new carry gun. O well someone out there will want my money. even if it's in a different state.

I picked mine up at Cabela's several months ago for $469 pre-tax.

Saw one at the gun show this weekend.....$495. Didn't see but that one now that I think about it. There were probably a few more but just didn't notice them.

I purchased mine at Cabela's for $435 each by signing up for a Cabela's card and using a $50 off coupon I got at the door (required a Cabela's card).

I saw the 15-22 listed at $459 for an early Christmas sale that started at 8:00 a.m. Saturday. I tried calling but couldn't get through and eventually just went to Cabela's anyway. I was sure they would be gone when I got there at 2:30 but they still had 40 in stock so I picked up two. Originally, I went to buy one 15-22 for my son. I had wanted an M&P 15 .223 (it would have been my first in this format) but decided to just purchase two 15-22's and figured we can both start with the 15-22 and make sure we like it before going the .223 route. Plus it has the benefit of being super cheap to shoot and the 15-22 practically pays for it self in ammunition costs savings alone verses the 15.

After coming home, I was looking at the ejectors on each gun and one of the guns looks like it could possibly have an issue and fail to eject the cartridges due to the location of the ejector but I haven't fired it yet so it remains to be seen. In a weird way, I almost hope it does so I can get the 2 free magazines essentially making the purchase price even lower. I guess I'm weird that way.

I did a lot of reading on this forum prior to purchasing the guns and just want to thank everyone for their input.

Paid $460 for mine + tax from a local dealer. Could I have gotten a better deal online, possibly. But once you take into account shipping, transfer fees etc, it would have been really close, so in the end, I'm happy with the price.

Also picked up 5 spare mags from the dealer for $19 each at the time of purchase.

Thanks for all the input folks, I will be attending a gun show this coming weekend with hopes of making a local purchase or two. If that don't work out than a online purchase will happen early next week.
Thanks again,

I see you're in MI, so I'll just chime in to say WI prices are $500 at chain stores but the cheapest I found was in Milwaukee at a small gun shop for $450. I decided to go with Scheels for $500, get a $25 gift card (from using their credit card points) and at the time they had a $25 off of anything over $250... so basically $450 plus tax.

I like the store and like that I can bring it there if anything goes wrong with it, rather than me sending it to get fixed myself.

Cabela's 6 weeks ago.

$469 (gun price) -$50 (for signing up for a Cabela's credit card) -$25 (S&W discount) = $394. With that purchase I activated my $150 Cabela's discount card. Total value was $244.

I fired the gun 2 weeks ago and lost the extractor.

Nice work on getting a price like that.

Great price for the 15-22. How did you get a $25.00 S&W discount?

$439 in early October from Benton Shooters in Benton, TN.

MSRP was $499 at the time. I think they have them listed at $569 now.

M&P 15-22 price

I got mine one week ago at a DSM gun show for $408. including 6% sales tax. I have a long-standing business relationship with the dealer.
