I just bought a new M&P9. I haven't fired it yet, and probably won't until my Storm Lake replacement barrel get here. Once that's done, I would have wanted to put the original unfired barrel up for sale, probably here on the classifieds. I just noticed a problem however, there is a small ding on the ramp. I don't know if this is common, or if it would affect proper functioning, or if it could be easily polished out, or should be sent back to S&W for a replacement, or just thrown out. I don't want to sell something that's defective. The ding is the shiny spot at the top left of the ramp, where the ramp meets the barrel. I'm not sure what to do, and I'd appreciate any advice you can give me.

I have seen some of the barrels with rough machine marks (they functioned fine) and some others that were like glass.

S&W recommended I polish mine. So if it functions correctly, I wouldn't worry about it.

Check out the M&P forum for some pictures.
