M10 3" dangling in front of me!

Ok, so I'm not flush with K frames but I have several...all 357's. 19, 65, 66's. It would be nice to have a .38 and the model 10 or model 64 seem the perfect fit but it would have to be a deal...it's not like I can't shoot .38's.

I have my eye on a 3" M10-8 w/box and papers. Looks to be in excellent shape but not LNIB. What are you folks seeing for pricing on something like this? Seller is asking $550.

My Blue Book shows a 90% gun $235, 95% $395, 98% $500. I always take those prices with a grain of salt.

I just bought a gorgeous Nickel 10-8 and a blue 10-7, both 3" in great condition for about a 100-150 less. No box, but in the case of the 10-8 3" nickel, like new for a $100 less.

Around here dickering starts at $550 for a 3" m64 and then goes up or down from there depending on condition, bargining skills, ect .

Figure about $100 less for a m10 3"

I'd say NIB with all accessories, that would be fair. But used, no tools,papers etc...eh. High end of what it would be worth to me.

I wouldn't let a $50 bill stand between me and a 3" K frame...........it may be listed/asking a bit high for a .38 but when was the last time you saw one for sale...

Is this a shop or an individual? Think about offering $475....... see what happens.........

Based on your description of the piece, it sounds like the price is a bit steep - by at least $100.00 to $150.00. That being said, they don't make 3.0 inch barreled K-frames anymore, and in my opinion, there is no handgun that balances and shoots better than a 3.0 inch barreled K-frame. Here is a photo of my 3.0 inch long, heavy barreled Model 64-3.

Tell them "I could see that price for a 3" MOdel 65 in .357 but ... not for a .38 Model 10..."...... then make an offer...... in the $400s

If you want it buy it before someone else does. 3" HB, RB K frames are in demand and not often for sale in my area. A gun such as you describe, under $600.00, is a find.
