Madonna at half time

Corps style or military is an age old fight on the band field! I prefer corps...and it's where most everything is, but a military style band beats a pop concert any day. so yeah, I'll take even the (icky) Aggie band for halftime any day. ;)

Thought it was a great performance. Attended a couple of her concerts in the '90's with my daughters. She still has the moves.

I expected much worse to tell you the truth. I enjoyed her "Immaculate Collection" album many years ago, but didn't know much else about her.

My wife and I both enjoyed the show. My wife said "She's only a couple of years younger than I am, and I sure couldn't do that."

Bring back marching bands? A sure way to make sure the TV audience switches to "Gilligans Island" reruns.

Madge looked great. But MIA just had to do that throw-the-middle-finger-while-I-say-a-dirty-word thing to prove she's "hip."

I hope she got properly smacked down backstage.

Not bad.... What impressed me most was that I'm pretty sure I couldn't have kept up with her (aerobically) when I was 54.:(;):D
I'm 54 and I'm still a little sore from cutting and digging four 12" X 12" post holes in my patio day before yesterday. I think she was really good. She was confident enough to not do something all over the top like Lady GaGa would have done.

Not really my flavor, but she did a great job, and overall was a pretty awesome production.

Somehow a middle aged woman lip syncing in thigh high leather boots, surrounded by half naked young muscle men just doesn't do it for me.

Maybe I'm just getting old....:(

I think she's got a great booking agent.

"Lip synching" and the "worst Super Bowl show"? Madge doesn't need to lip synch and it was the best Super Bowl halftime show ever. Her only error was a stumble at 3:57 but she did very good considering the spikes she was wearing. Anyone that doesn't like that woman needs to take a pill!

Wanna see it again?!

I agree....It's football... and thats what I came for.
I've given up watching the Super Bowl half time as it has become a freak show over the years.
M.I.A. is a fine example of this years freak.

Madonna did not get paid. The show was to promote her new album. She did a good show. I was impressed to watch the singing and see she was not lip sync-ing, on top of the dancing.

Also, IU Marching One Hundred was there. Apparently they do have a marching band at halftime...it's just not THE halftime.

Around Indy today, the parts of four suburban high school bands (drum lines) that appeared with her are gettin nice praise. I did not see any IU nor is there any mention of them.

I thought the show was great.

IMO, her best work is in Something to Remember.

My wife and I say that if Madonna ever does a Vegas act, we'll go just to see it, and probably see it twice in one week. She was an icon of my high school years (late 80's) and despite being a glam rock fan, we listened to her anyway. The new song sucks, but I'd still pay to see a show with her in it.

If you grew up in the 80's, Madonna was #2 on the list of pop stars, trumped only by the late Michael Jackson.

I thought she did a great job during the Super Bowl's halftime, despite having to carry LMFAO, of whom I'd never seen a single photo or video, and only knew them because of the pre-show video where they wound up in a country bar.
