Hey Guys.....I just recently purchased a WW2 S&W Brown Leather Pistol Holster....for the .38 Special WW2 Victory Model Pistol....and its missing the Wire Hanger on the Back to attach it to a WW2 Pistol Belt.....Ive found a Metal Hanger in my shop....actually it came off a WW1 Canteen Cover thats torn up......is there a "secret way" to get that metal hanger onto the holster.....it looks like it would have had to be put on when made.....but ive seen the hangers for sale at Military Shows ....so someone out there must know how to reattach them without tearing the holster up and losing your temper in the same timeframe....I appreciate anyone taking the time to answer.......by the way...dont have the Victory Model .38 as yet...hopefully will pick one up at November Military Show.......any and all comments are appreciated.....Hans Fischer

gerhard,
You're right, the hangers are installed before sewing. But they are brass and bend easier than steel. I install it by pinching one hook end to make it narrower. Then bending that side out straight, the rounded end of the pinched hook can be slid (forced) through, then restore the 90 degree bend and unpinch the hook end.
