I'll bet you're thinking of Mika Holsters.

He is one good guy, and he has been swamped with orders.

I'll bet there is a very good reason for any delay, and that you will be pleased with your holster when it arrives.

All5,
My dad ordered a holster from him about the same time at my suggestion. I can't remember if there was a death in his family or and illness. My dad ended up getting 3 of the holsters from him. I think he has a lot of backlog and his organization might be a bit lacking. My dad sent him about 4 e-mails inquiring about the holster. The final one he asked for a refund because it had been so long. Well, shortly after that my dad received a package that had the refund and a holster with an apology for the amount of time. Then, within two weeks he received 2 more, all three were autographed as always. I'm guessing he had already made the first one when dad e-mailed him and he couldn't find it, so he made up another and then misplaced it as well. Your best bet is to send him an e-mail and let him tell you what's going on. I have one of his pocket holsters and they are nice.

My order placed just after Christmas took 14 weeks.

It was worth the wait.

all5x, I think if you've been waiting for 6 months, somethings amiss. Give him a call or e-mail, he'll set things right. He may have misplaced the order, as someone else, said his "organization" may be a bit lacking.
I have waited as long as 3 months, and currently have one on order for about 6 weeks now.

all5x: I doubt if you will ever deal with a finer, or more honest man than Robert Mika. Yes there has been a death in his immediate family, and as already mentioned, his mind may not be fully on his business. He is also police chief of his small locallity, so is busy. I was extremely pleased with what he made for me, sent him a personal check to pay for it, and well over two months later realized the check had not cleared my bank. Concerned about lost in mail, e-mailed Robert, he was very concerned, was ready to send me another holster, until I told him, NO, I received it, now I want to make sure you are paid for it. Later he e-mailed me back, he had laid my check somewhere, not deposited it yet. Contact him, tell him when you ordered it, and you will receive it. Most holster makers are swamped these days as more and more folks are gearing up for concealed carry.

Mika is a good guy and very honest. He will definitely take care of you. The wait is long, and if you feel it has been too long, just e-mail and ask about it. He is a good guy and will take care of you.

I cannot add a whole lot to what has already been stated above. I have one, and I had to wait a looong time for it to arrive. Robert is an A+ guy. He is the only person making these holsters one at a time by hand. He is swamped with orders. Send him a polite e-mail and be patient. Mine was worth the wait.

Well, I just went to his site, to get his email, to write him a polite letter, as suggested. I saw a notice there, that I don't recall from when I ordered.

>Turnaround time is estimated to be a minimum of 12-16 weeks due to the overwhelming demand for my holsters. <

It was 16 weeks, yesterday, so I guess I will give him a couple more before getting too upset.

That is just too freaky. Have an email this morning. My holster has been mailed.

'Spose he reads this board? Saw this and said, "Oops, that'un got lost in the shuffle, might better make it real quick"?

all5x, you heard anything?

I have called him a couple of times and he told me he was mailing mine out that week. That has been about a month ago. I wanted to know because I was going to go out and get something to use temporarily while I waited for his. I keep putting that off. I wish he had not told me he was shipping if he could not get to it yet.
I am currently carrying my 642 in my pocket with no holster at all.

I've been carrying mine in an Uncle Mikes. Will be glad to upgrade. The Uncle Mikes seems to be shedding (there is always a fine layer of black fuzz on my gun) and it stinks greatly. Like dirty gym shoes. I've been considering throwing it in the washing machine, but didn't know if it would stay together.

For those that carry a leather pocket holster. Does it start to stink, from absorbing sweat from your leg?

When I ordered my first three holsters from Robert, I asked him how long would I have to wait.

He said they would ship by the end of the week.

Then all you guys found out about him!!!!
