I won't ever buy anything from Midway again. I bought some primers from them in December and had problems with them so I called Midway to see what I had to do to get them replaced and was told they did not take primers back. The person I spoke with was rude. I called the manufacturer and was treated like a valued customer, I was given a full refund.
I read some of the posts about Midway cancelling back ordered .22's. I just received a case of .22's I ordered from Midsouth and the price didn't increase as I have heard other's have experienced.

I've never seen any place, brick-and-mortar or online, that would take returns on primers. It says very clearly that "Primers cannot be returned" on the MidwayUSA site when you add them to your cart. That's no different than everywhere else. The same is true for ammo. From what a friend who works at a gun counter at a sporting goods store nearby says, it's not even their choice whether or not to have that policy, as it was due to government regulations. The best Midway could have possibly done was to give you the right contact information for working with the manufacturer to get them returned and replaced. Did they do that?

The OP asked for folks to post about filled backorders of .22LR. I read his post twice, and did not see any request for complaining about non related issues at Midway. Ordered case 5,525 Federal .22LR on 12/30/2012 for 179.99. Midway USA cancelled the order 1/6/2014. Midway sent email notice about Federal .22LR's arrived. New price 194.99. A coincidence that the backorder was cancelled 1 week before Midway received the Federal shipment. I don't think so.
Ordered 1 case of Federal .22LR from Midsouth Shooter Supply 1/10/2013 . Midsouth shipped order on 1/14/2014 at 188.80 for the case.

To my knowledge their is no Govt. Law, or rule against returning ammo.
If there is ? ..... Link to site with Statute !
Industry ....ing Lawyers and sellers worried about taking a return with rounds replaced with crappy or dangerous reloads. Either mistake or on purpose. It was shipped to you....you can ship back. However, you must follow the rules for shipping dangerous cargo and pay the extra fee.
I do not really blame them. Too much chance for a liability issue later.

Friend backordered 1k rd of M22 on 11/10/2013 and still waiting.
Midway maybe getting the 2k pre-boxed ones from Winchesters first.

Not sure if anyone here had the Bucket O' Bullets on backorder, but the date has gone from June 2014 to "unknown"... That's after the date went from December 2013 to June 2014 about a month ago.

I got the email about them moving it from Dec to June.. Didnt know they changed it again... FML
The delivery dates on all the 22 ammo has been changed to unknown. They probably got tired of people phoning to complain when the date came and went and no ammo was shipped. I look at it this way, when and if it does show up, it'll be like Christmas.

I ordered Win M22 before Thanksgiving, no word yet. I also ordered CCI AR22 tactical, received an email, no longer available. Ordered a case of Eley sport 40 gr. order has been cancelled. I do have CCI mini mag 40 gr on order, March was original ship date, now Nov. 2014. With .22 ammo any delivery date is like Christmas.

Did anyone see Federal .22LR (bulk/525rds) in stock from Midsouth Shooter Supply yesterday/last night (2/7)? I've had a backorder for that with Midsouth since Feb 2013, saw that a Gunbot alert had come in at 5:30pm, but by the time I saw it showed out of stock. Pretty lousy if they are ignoring their backorders. Price was the same so that wasn't the issue.
I ordered a 6 pound jug of 4350 powder from Midway and it said back orders available and never got the powder or a email saying he order was cancelled. It's just the way they do business I guess.
I'm not sure that is any worse then Calbelas limiting gun powder orders to one 1 pound bottle so the Hasmatt fee and shipping costs kills any incentive to order it.
